Cannot get cell service on T-Mobile but AT&T worked just fine in the same locations! HELP!

I just switched from AT&T to T-Mobile and got the iPhone 6. However, everywhere I go my service signal has been weak and at work it simply displays "No Service" and data shows "E" and I'm unable to use my phone. I cannot send text messages which I need to at work especially. AT&T's service worked just fine at work, but I can't get anything from T-Mobile's! What can I do to fix this issue??

How bad is coverage in DT Seattle? Pretty bad.

$

I live in West Seattle and work downtown.

For well over a year, since the refarm, the coverage, both data and voice, is so bad in downtown Seattle that I called to cancel my account.

I am still with T-Mobile obviously, but that is only because of the only true un-throttled unlimited data.

So how bad is coverage down here?

Phone calls are an exercise in frustration.  IF you get a call out on the first try, you might be able to hear half of what the other party says - if you're lucky.  Calls don't drop as much, they just fail the first couple tries, and then once you connect the audio is broken up, cuts out constantly, and is effectively unusable - I call my wife from my desk phone - it's that bad.

I have had maybe 10 trouble tickets filed, twice support told me there was already an engineer filed ticket for the same issue, all have been resolved as fixed, and the service is identical.

By the way, this is on: Samsung Galaxy S II T989, Samsung Galaxy S4 M919, Apple iPhone 5S, Apple iPhone 5C, and most recently a One Plus One 64GB.  We have a lot of phones, we do this stuff for a living.

An AT&T sim, by the way, works perfectly for all voice calls with ALL of these devices - no issues at all - AT&T has issues, but that's another topic.

So phone calls are largely unusable on T-Mobile's network in downtown Seattle near Pioneer Square.

May be better in other parts of downtown - I am not sure.

Data speeds - the difference in data speed is shockingly high from downtown to other parts of the city, state and country.

In downtown Seattle, LTE speeds range from 1 Mbps to sometimes as high as 5.75 - not horrible, but not what I would consider on par with other carriers.

In West Seattle, I get LTE speeds ranging from 75 tot he highest I've seen - 101.5Mbps - stellar.

So - by comparison, downtown is serving up somewhere from 75% to 92% LESS speed than West Seattle.

(anything after 6pm is West Seattle, the others are downtown with the exception of the 18Mbps which was around Georgetown/SoDo area.  You can see the 101.5 up at the top - should have taken a better screen with it showing, but the point is the service is drastically different, and T-Mobile either can't or won't fix it downtown)

These are on the One Plus One btw - it's a very fast phone

This is really to illustrate what is possible vs what T-Mobile is actually giving us in the downtown corridor.

The last time I called support to complain, I said I was sick of it and was planning to cancel, the rep simply said - "We're sorry to see you go - can I help with anything else?"  Just completely gave up, as if he knew the network would never be fixed - no attempt at retention, no mention of anything other than - "Ok, see ya".

How can I turn off the sound when I turn the phone on and off?

I have an Alcatel 768.  How can I turn off the sound when I turn the phone on and off?

I am a T-Mobile customer why can't I just buy a New Phone

$

Greetings,

I would like to purchase an LG Optimus L90 cell phone from T-mobile at the price listed on the T-mobile "Prepaid" website.

The price listed for the LG Optimus is $99.60. There is an additional charge of $30 for a $30 prepaid card and $10 for a micro sim that fits this phone.

I do not need the Prepaid Card as I am already a customer and since I can't use the card to pay my current T-Mobile bill it is useless.

I will need the micro sim card as my current phone has a larger one.

So that's $99.60 + $10 = $109.60

Simple and just what I the customer wants. Yet when I called to purchase this phone I was handed off to 3 different departments and 5 different people! After an hour I finally spoke with someone that understood my needs and attempted to sell me the phone I wanted. After an additional 20 minutes of speaking with someone I could barely hear, the customer service rep stated I was going to get a 10% discount on my purchase and asked for my method of payment.

Thinking I was finally being treated like a valued customer I started giving my information..but I was never quoted a total so I asked.

With my 10% discount the total was $149 and change. Not sure what went wrong I asked why my total was actually higher than the price listed on the website...The answer I was given was more convoluted than String theory.

So here's the deal My wife and I pay T-Mobile $110 per month for non contract service. I would like a new LG Optimus L90 and I am willing to pay the advertised price of $99.60+$10 for the Sim card. If there is sales tax I'm willing to pay that as well.

Is there anyone at T-mobile willing to make a paying customer happy. I have a Debit card melting in my hands. Or is it time to take my Debit card and $110 per month to a company that stands by the advertising!

Will an AT&T iPhone 5c work with T-Mobile Networks?

Sorry if this question has been posted many times already but I was wondering if I was to get a new iPhone 5c from AT&T would it work with T-mobile's network? I would get it unlocked of course. I'm asking because I like to keep my options open.... should I not like service with AT&T I want to know if I can come over to T-Mobile.

Thanks.

Jump question

When I signed up with T-MO, due to the shape of my credit, it was necessary to pay almost half the price of the phone up front.  I had no problem with that because I knew it was going to be necessary.  I may want to take advantage of Jump! in the near future and switch phones.  If I do, will I again have to pay half down on the phone I pick out?  Or is that just something that new T-MO customers with less than stellar credit must do?

Will TMobile pay my ETF if I trade in my ATT phone but alright bought a TMobile Moto X?

So I'm looking to switch to TMobile and want to trade in my Galaxy S3 which I currently use with ATT. I purchased a Moto X (XT1053) to use on TMobile but from what I've seen online you need to trade in your old device and buy a new one from TMobile in order for TMobile to pay your ETF. Is that true or will TMobile still pay my ETF even though I didn't purchase the TMobile phone (the moto x) directly from them?

Pay As You Go - Legacy Plan Expiration Date

$

My husband and I have what has apparently recently been renamed "Pay As You Go - Legacy" plans. How do I find the expiration dates for our minutes? They used to show up on your website, I think in "My Account Status," but it could have been "My Current Plan." They don't show up anywhere I can find any more. I can see how much money we have left in the accounts, and how many minutes we have remaining, but not when they expire. Since we lose our minutes if we don't add more money before our minutes expire, you have an obligation to make this information readily available.

In another thread started last month which has been closed without a solution being posted, someone with the same problem said a T-Mobile rep told him via phone to dial #999# to get his expiration date, but that didn't work for him. I tried it, and got the number of minutes left in the accounts, but not the expiration date.

And what's this "-568/0" in the Messages section of My Current Plan? Are you saying I've used 568 messages in the past (I doubt it, since I rarely text,) and I'm permitted none now? What ever it means, it doesn't make sense.

I tried to save you some time by attaching a screen shot of the info that is available, but that didn't work—the camera icon in the formatting bar is grayed out, and when I tried dragging and dropping, it just stalled with a spinning icon. I have had to copy and paste as best I can, but the formatting is off, and some of it can't be changed, apparently.

Hi,

I have very spotty service in my house, consistently 1 or 2 bars with occasional dropped calls.

Recently I read that T-Mobile offers a signal booster.  How do I request one?  I've searched the site in vain ...

Thanks,
