Keypad / keyboard issues: Android

If you experience issues with an unresponsive key or keypad, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

 

  1. Check that the keypad is not locked. Refer to the device's user manual for instructions.
  2. Remove any covers, cases, or skins that may be covering the buttons or keypads and try to press the malfunctioning keys.
  3. If a button appears to be stuck, gently try and wiggle the button from side to side with your finger to pop it back into place.
  4. Turn the device off and then back on.
  5. Check to see if the key(s) are responding.
  6. If not, perform a master reset if possible. Refer to the device's user manual for instructions.
  7. If the issue persists, please contact T-Mobile.
