I've got 3 Lumia 822's from Verizon on T-Mobile all having the same issue with not being able to send SMS messages. They can receive SMS just fine as well as send/receive calls too but for some reason SMS messages won't send and it gives the generic error of "SMS error: 1" All of these phones worked the same day on Verizon before switching over and a Verizon iPhone 5 and an AT&T Titan WP7 on the same new account don't have this issue. What's the deal here? The 822 is global ready just like the iPhone 5 and Titan so what's the cause?
The Lumia 822 is almost identical to T-Mobile's Lumia 810 except more storage space and it has Verizon's CDMA and LTE frequencies instead of T-Mobile's 1700 MHz band. Being stuck on EDGE until the HSPA+ re-farming on the 1900 MHz spectrum isn't the concern here, just simply getting SMS messages to send!
This is a real deal-breaker being brand new T-Mobile customers so not looking good if the family can't send texts on 3 out of the 5 lines...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
