Unresponsive / frozen phone troubleshooting: HTC HD7

To resolve the issue follow these steps:

  1. Verify you have the latest software installed by following Not authorized to view the specified documentation 2119.  If you do not, see Not authorized to view the specified documentation 1553.
  2. Check available memory on the device. If memory is less than 5MB, clear the following to free up space.
    • Delete any unused applications.  See, Not authorized to view the specified documentation 2136.
    • Clean the Internet History.  See, Not authorized to view the specified documentation 2137.
    • Delete unneeded text messages, picture mesages, and emails.
  3. If the issue began after installing a third-party application, or only occurs while in a specific downloaded application, remove that program.
  4. Power the device off and back on, then retest.
  5. If the issue persists, the customer must perform a master reset.  See Not authorized to view the specified documentation 1505.
