Samsung Galaxy S3 Rebate amount on 1/31/2013 & 2/1/2013

I recently transferred my # from AT&T to T-mobile. I also purchased a Samsung Galaxy S3 16GB white with the plan. I paid $199.99 plus tax on the spot, and waiting for the MIB. (Order placed on 1/31/2013 but the invoice that came with the phone shows 2/1/2013)

My husband and I clearly remembered the MIB was $100, so the final cost of the phone is $99.99 + tax.

But when the rebate arrived, it was only for $50.

I emailed and called the rebate center, but all they are telling me is the rebate is $50. That's it.

It does not make sense since the phone was on sale in December 2012, January 2013, and even on promotion for Valentine's day and now.. the final price of the phone is always $99.99 after some web discount and MIB ($100 for valentine's day and $50 in March)

I so regret that I did not do a screen shot on the deal that I purchased. I would have never paid $150 for this phone.

Could someone please clarify exactly how much MIB it was on either 1/31/2013 and 2/1/2013?

Thanks!!

P.S. my husband has been with T-mobile for a few years now and he used to like the customer service. But ever since I transferred to T-mobile, I seriously felt the customer service knowledge is very poor and unprofessional. The data plan the rep promised turned out to be bogus and we are being charged way more than she promised. But of course when we called back to talk about it, the other end says "we dont see such offers being made/recorded"... Now the rebate issue. T-mobile is making me feel that they give you empty promises with lower rates/cost to lure you in, after that they charge you more with "oh sorry I don't see the records of other offers being made to you"....
