iPHONE 5 data - INACCURATE INFORMATION

I've been really frustrated with T-Mobile for the past couple of weeks because it seems that it's trying to benefit itself by forcing customers to make un-necessary upgrades. Also THEY DO NOT PROVIDE ACCURATE INFORMATION. I've been on a value family plan of 1000 minutes with 2.5 GB of data for the past 2 years, and all of the sudden T-Mobile WILL NOT let me access data after purchasing iPhone 5. They're claiming that amount of data I have does not support my phones, which DOES NOT make sense at all. My brother, who is also on my account, has been using Galaxy for the past 2 years and and the data was working fine until I purchased iPhone 5. They can't just say that the amount of data is an issue when it was previously working for Galaxy. Also, the amount of data SHOULD NOT even be a factor when they offer 2.5 GB!!! When I purchased the iPhone 5, the associate even said that I can stay with my current plan. They also made a previous error by upgrading me to a new unlimited plan because they claimed I would pay the same amount until I found out that I was paying an additional $40. After they reviewed my dispute letter, they were able to switch me back to my old (current) plan. Now it seems that they're trying to find another way to get me to pay the same amount as I would if I stayed with the new plan. Is anyone else having this issue? I'm deciding if I should cancel my account with them because I am certainty NOT upgrading my data plan.
