Overview
Adding your home address to your My T-Mobile profile helps operators better find your location when you dial the 9-1-1 service from your T-Mobile handset.
You should only call 9-1-1 if you need emergency response from the police, the fire department, or medical personnel.
Procedures
To set up a 9-1-1 emergency address online, perform the following steps:
- Open your web browser and log on to My T-Mobile.
- In the top nav bar, click Your profile.
- Under the Customer information section, click Edit.
- Enter your home address and click the Save changes button when finished.
Note: Allow up to one hour for the 9-1-1 address to update.
Important: If you need to call 9-1-1 while you're not at your home location, keep the following in mind when speaking to an operator:
- Be aware of your surroundings: Provide landmarks, mileposts, or cross streets, if visible
- Memorize your mobile phone number so you can readily give it to the operator when asked
- Do not hang up until told to do so
