Should I replace my BRAND NEW Samsung Galaxy s3 for the 2nd time? Tired of T-mobile

I bought two samsung galaxy s3's with a two year contract while I was visiting New York. In less than a week, one of them had technical issues. Phone started freezing, started lagging, I returned it for a BRAND NEW samsung galaxy s3 since the purchase date was literally a couple days ago. By the time, I was back in my home state, went to the retail store, and they got me a brand new box. The new samsung galaxy s3 they gave me is having issues again. It's been less than 3 months and now the headphone jack is messed up. No matter what earphones I put in, I have to hold the earphones to make both earphones work. I have tested many different earphones/headphones. I have used the same earphones on my macbook and my other samsung s3, they work fine. I am so furstrated with Tmobile. I called Tmobile, they said they will replace my phone for a refurbished phone since I have warranty. WHY should I get a refurbished phone when it's not my fault? Before the samsung, I had an iPhone, I'm really thinking of cancelling my contract, moving to at&t and getting the iphone 5. I'm so confused, I use music everyday, I go to school, gym, and use the aux cable in my car with my phone and none of them are working properly now. I will not be renewing my tmobile contract. Can't belive they want me to accept a refurbsihed phone when I paid for a brand new phone that has a factory defect. What should I do...replace it with a "refurbished s3" or just live with this problem.
