Groups

Add contact

To add a new contact to the phone book, follow these steps:

1. From the Start screen, tap the People tile.
2. At the all screen, tap the + icon.
3. Tap new contact.
4. If prompted, tap the account you want to create the contact in.
5. Tap the First name field and enter the contact’s first name.
6. Tap the Last name field and enter the last name.
7. Enter other information as desired.
8. Tap the x icon on the bottom of the screen when done.
9. Tap phone and enter the phone number.
10. Tap the Phone number type field.
11. Tap the number type.
12. Tap the Save icon.
13. Tap the Save icon again.

Add contact to speed dial

Copy contact: import/export from SD card

Copy contact: import from SIM card

To copy contacts from the SIM card to device memory, follow these steps:

1. From the Start screen, swipe left.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Swipe left to the applications screen.
4. Tap people.
5. Tap import SIM contacts.
6. If desired, tap to clear a contact checkbox and prevent copying.
7. Tap Import. The contacts are now imported to your phone.
   Note: If you are logged into your Windows Live account, the SIM contacts will be synced with your Live account.

Delete contact

To delete contacts from the phone book, follow these steps:

1. From the Start screen, tap the People icon.
2. If necessary, swipe to the all column.
3. Tap and hold on the contact to be deleted.
4. Tap Delete.
5. Tap Delete to confirm.

Add contacts to a caller group

To add contacts to a caller group, follow these steps:

1. From the Start screen, tap the People tile.
2. Tap the name of the group.
3. Tap the Edit icon (pencil).
4. Tap Add a contact.
5. Tap the contact to be added.
6. The contact is now added and saved to the group.

Create a caller group

To create a caller group, follow these steps:

1. From the Start screen, tap People.
2. If necessary, swipe left or right to the all screen.
3. Tap the Add contact  icon.
4. Tap new group.
5. Enter a group name in the group name field.
6. Tap add a contact.
7. Tap the desired contact to be added to the group.
8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 as needed.
9. Tap the Save icon.
