I am a new iPhone user and this is a totally different system for me as I have always used an android...I have a question for you - I found it much easier to "manage" use of the "GPS" on my phone's applications via the android, where on the iPhone it seems like a bit more work...maybe it's just me.
I guess my overall question is - to leave it on or turn it off? Usually, I would turn on the GPS when using "mapmywalk" (sometimes) for "check-ins" at FB and for use with maps, otherwise, I left it turned off as I like to have a good battery life and not have it drained by that service.
Since location services has two levels - the actual "level" where I think you turn it completely "on or off" and the "sub-level" where you choose which applications will be on or off depending on your selection (?).
Overall, what is the best way to utilize the location service for the iPhone? I keep getting pop-ups that FB needs location services, etc. Should I leave it on for FB, MapMyWalk and turn off everything else if needed? IF I choose to only have one "app" turned on - do I have the "app level" set to "on" and the actual setting level to "on" also? Sorry...this sounds really "stupid," but if you gotta know you gotta know...?
Much appreciate your comments and advise.
