I have been a tmobil customer for a year. I didn't have much of a credit record when I bought my 1st Tmobile phone (HTC One S @ $400 retail price) but still they offered me a ridiculously low amount of $40 down payment + ~$20 installment/month. After a year I have fully paid my phone (made a $190 payment to finish off my balance after selling my phone) but now when I try to upgrade (to any latest gen phone @ ~$600) they're charging me a ridiculously higher amount of $300 down payment + ~$10 installment/month instead of charging me ~$150 or $200 (more reasonable price comparable to what all other carriers are charging for latest gen. phones) and then $20 installment/month.
I simply do not understand why they're not giving me the choice of a smaller, more reasonable down payment like they did before. (By the way my credit score is exactly the same [maybe even just a tiny bit higher] as it was a year ago when I got the HTC One S with $40 down payment.] Does any one have a clue why on earth is Tmobile not letting me have a more affordable, more reasonable upgrade option????
