I looked online the price of two classic plans and compared them to the same plan in the value plan. The difference in price is 20 dollars per month. I have a 2 year agreement, and for what I understand I can upgrade my phone every 21 months. So that would mean I spent 420 dollars more than if I had a value plan, for the 21 months. I am eligible for a full discount for my phone upgrade and the largest discount there is 300 dollars plus a 50 dollars mail in rebate. So I would have paid 70 dollars more than someone who used the value plan and paid the full price phone. That is not taking in consideration that there is an 18 dollar upgrade fee and that most phones have a discount less than 300 dollars. Unless I am doing my math wrong I don't see the advantage of the classic plan.
