I would like somebody to please explain this to me:
I got a text message Friday telling me I'm eligible for my upgrade now, I shouldn't be until November. I call tmobile and talk to a cs person who was zero help and couldn't explain why I was upgraded early so I ask to be transferred to somebody who CAN answer that. The cs person tells me " no, I am unable to transfer you to anybody else, sorry". Ok....I give up and hang up on her and call back and ask for the loyalty dept. the guy I talk to now tells me I was selected to receive this early upgrade.
Ok, great, but my upgrade price for the s3 is about $340 with a mail in $50 rebate. It's being sold at target for $169 and on Tmo's site for 99.99, so why can't I get it for less than $300? I can't buy from target because their system can't recognize my early upgrade, so basically this early upgrade promotion is just a way to sucker me into buying a phone for more money than I should have to spend.
So..can somebody please tell me how that makes sense? I've been with Tmo for nearly 12 years, why do I need to pay 3x's as much as somebody who is just signing up?
