This post is to help me vent and also a cry for help…
When I heard of T-Mobile JUMP I literary JUMPED and switched to T-Mobile from my previous provided because I loved the idea of having the latest and the greatest phone, especially every 6 months!
The family plan sounded like a great idea! So I got my husband to switch from his carrier to T-Mobile with me. He already had an iPhone 5 so he didn’t need a new phone at the time.
The clerk who added (transferred) the second line to my account asked me if I wanted insurance on HIS phone, to which I said NO. SOMEHOW instead of NOT adding insurance they cancelled my JUMP on my phone!!! I didn’t realize this UNTIL now because I get automatic bill withdrawal, so I never actually look the bill (this happen in November so I already JUMP for a few months).
I spoke to T-Mobile, via chat I am yet to go to the store, but they are REFUSING to:
- Admit it’s their fault (why in the world would I signup with JUMP, pay for it for months and then just decide to cancel it.. it makes no sense!).
- Let me pay for the missed months or EVEN reenlist in JUMP for that matter!
- Of course they were nice enough to offer me to TRADE in my phone for $200ish something dollars when my remaining balance on the EIP is $450.. NO THANKS!
So now I am stuck paying EIP for the next year and a half with no upgrade in sight. THANKS A LOT T-MOBILE. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
PEOPLE beware!!! Whenever you get any changes done with T-Mobile, on the phone or in a store, make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing.
I am yet to visit the store and call corporate but this is unacceptable.. to think I brought my husband to T-Mobile and recommend it to all my friend.. What a disappointment!
