How to know if youre order has been placed?

My Galaxy s4 stopped working last tuesday, and I went to a T-Mobile store to ask what I can do. The lady said that she was going to file a claim and that I was going to get charged $5 and i was going to get send a replacement phone. She said it will take  1 or 2 days, yet I have not received any confirmation or tracking number At all. What can I do?
