Bait and Switch

Ihave been a -tmobile subscriber for over 5 years and recently re-upped to a new 2-year contract. and availed myself to three now phones at a at discounted rate.

Shortly after the renewal your company came out with a promotion regarding free 4G phones for Friday and Saturday (Nov. 16 & 17). I could return the phones, but I could not take advantage of your promotion because your company would not have physical possession of the returned phones. I stated I would be happy to return the phones to a company store and this too was met with rejection by customer support.

  • To add insult to injury I asked what it would cost to upgrade the two phones to the Samsung Galaxy 3, I was informed that I would have to return the phone before they would give me a price for the upgrade.
  • Finally, I was also told that the promotion did not apply to the Samsung Galaxy 3 despite the fact your print add clearly included this phone along with a photo.

I find the advice I was given to be entirely unacceptable and insulting by any measure of reasonableness and ask that you use your good offices to correct this incident by adhering to your weekend promotion and take steps that your customer service personnel refrain from engaging in "gotcha" sales practices.
