Why oh why does TMobile devices hate me?
I barely got my Galaxy S 3 LTE on Feb 20th and now I'm having issues with it...
I got this phone because my previous phone (Galaxy S2)'s 4g dropped continuously, every day (multiple times aday at one point) and after getting the run around, along with five different reason's why from T-Mobile techs, and one T-Mobile store guy (still didn't get a definitive answer) as to why my 4G dropped on the S2, I agreed to go ahead and upgrade my phone to the S3 LTE. It was fine, I even was assured by the TMobile rep who I got it from that everything would be fine (apparently what one of the tech supports had told me about my home not being in a 4g area was a lie) as the store guy brought up my home address and told me one was recently put up and my home was right behind it. They said you did everything for the Galaxy S2 theres nothing else to be done except keep sending out refurbished S2 (heck it's tacked on to the bill, a little thank you from tmobile. That was sarcasm.)
So why not go and upgrade the phone they said, we'll tack on more to your phone bill, pay nothing now EXCEPT the tax. Go get yourself a pretty new phone... in comes the Galaxy S3 LTE.
Less than three days AFTER I got my phone the LTE dropped to E. I had to walk out onto my porch to go back to 4G. And that was another issue the TForce agent via email told me was that it's normal for the LTE to drop to 4G (that it does this while on calls as well) but that we need to be on the look out if it does go to E.
I hadn't had any more issues until about over a week ago, while riding in the passenger seat through the Walgreens parking lot clear two towns away from my home the LTE dropped to E so I did as instructed before and restarted the phone Well fat luck that did the LTE didn't come back there was no 4g, lte or even e just nothing. I had to walk through Walgreens for anything to come back and the second I stepped foot outside the store it went back to E again. The second I came home I called tmobile (had to borrow my mom's phone) where the tech asked if this was an issue on any other tmobile devices (no I said, my mom had perfect 4g on her obsolete MyTouch) and asked if I could pull the sim from my Galaxy S3 LTE and check on my mom's. (well two reason's stopped that; one I couldn't get the back off the MyTouch, those suckers were cemented on and when I went t check on my previous Galaxy s2 to see if that would help I saw that the Galaxy S3 LTE's sim was way smaller than that of the galaxy s2's) so the tech had me do a Master Reset (after backing up my contacts and photos I did it. And well that was a god send for all of 5 days when the 4G LTE started dropping.
So once again I got in contact this being exactly one week after the Master Reset and well low and behold there is no outage in my area (tmobile claimed) they had me power off my phone to tweek on there end, and then power back on. So doing a Master Reset disenables (is that even a word?) the Data Roaming. I had to turn off the wifi calling and used Mobile Networks only since I'm not one for wifi calling, I bought the phone and got the plan for a reason, right?
That helped for about three days and low AND behold they said hey lets go get you a signal booster, it'll cost you nothing: You're qualified on your account but boom lets put the $7 tax on your next bill. You'll just have to wait so and so days....
My question is why does tmobile devices hate me? this 4g dropping never, ever happens on my mom's mytouch and only RARELY happens on my sister's older Samsung Galaxy s3, so what does tmobile have against me.
Because according to the coverage map of Meridian Id 83642 I am slap dab in the middle of an excellent coverage spot. And according to the Tmobile sales store guy theres a tower right behind me. So is it me?
I went through at least two different galaxy s 2's, to a brand spanking new Galaxy s3 LTE and now have to get a signal booster. When is tmobile going to show me the love? Because I usually get one or two bar signals in my trailer but walk out the front door with perfect bars. And I know it's not just my area because REMEMBER the LTE went to E in Garden City Idaho at the Walgreens....
what gives? how do I keep my 4g lte from dropping? And why was twitter's tmobile HELP telling me getting a booster signal wont help the 4g from dropping when tforce told me it would?
