I've been a loyal customer with T-Mobile for 12 years running, ever since the Omnipoint days! To my utter dissapointment and shock, I recently learned that T-Mobile now requires a 2 year agreement for simple plan changes?! This is absurd! Even the competition such as Verizon and AT&T do not follow this practice (yet). I loved the fact that T-Mobile would always adopt these questionable policy's only as a last resort after everyone including the competition mentioned above in the industry has done so. I am sad and confused to learn that T-Mobile is now asking for contracts on simple plan changes. I'm not getting a new phone, so what is the reason for a contract?? I understand that T-Mobile is hemorrhaging postpaid customers but this is not the answer, to lock in customers for every little account change?!? I am seriously considering moving all my lines (3) to one of the competitors since I find it insulting to be asked for a contract after I've given 12 years to T-mobile, most of which have been month-to-month since 2004.
