Sim Unlock Denied?!?!?!

I live in Canada and I bought the Samsung Exhibit II 4G for $189.00 + tax from Walmart.com. It was paid in full. I OWN it!!! Since my Dad lives closer to the border, I got my Dad to cross the border, pick up the phone, and mail it to me.

T-mobile has this on their website for sim unlock

http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-1588

It says

If you paid full retail price for a device, you qualify to have the SIM subsidy unlock code provided you meet the following requirements:

  • The device must have been purchased at a T-Mobile retail store or authorized T-Mobile retailer.
  • The device must be paid for completely. You must be able to fax the proof of purchase to T-Mobile.

After almost a month of about 50 faxes, and calling several times a week being on the phone for about 2 hours each time, I FINALLY received a response from the T-mobile Sim Unlock Team. This is what they said (with my information removed)

T-Mobile Sim Unlock Request
Sim Unlock Reference:
IMEI:

Unlock Code: ***Full MSRP Not Paid******Full MSRP Not Paid***

Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. We have received your fax and after review of the receipt we are unable to provide you with a SIM unlock code. Please be advised your receipts indicate that the handset was purchased at a discounted price. Handsets that are sold at a discounted rate are not eligible to receive the SIM unlock code.

At this time, the only option for obtaining the SIM Unlock code for the requested device is to meet account qualifications once T-Mobile service has been activated. If you have any further questions or are interested in activating service you may contact us at 1-800-937-8997 or you may visit a T-Mobile store. Thank you!

Thank You,

Sim Unlock Department
T-Mobile USA, Inc.

What a lie!!! I paid FULL retail price for it! It does not state that I need to pay the msrp! What on earth does it matter to T-mobile what I pay for it when it is mine! I am not a T-mobile customer, I have no contract with them, and I owe them NO money! I OWN this phone and I demand an unlock code! I CANNOT become a T-mobile customer anyway, because I live in CANADA!!!!!! I have a phone sitting on my desk that is completely useless because I cannot get ANY carrier here on it because it is LOCKED!!! This is THEFT!!!
