Family Plan and Divorce / Port - Out or Stay?

We have a family plan with two android and one regular cell phone.  1500mins/200mb data for the androids, 1500mins for the regular phone.  No text messaging in the plan.

Need to split out one android number into it's own 'individual' plan.

Already contacted c/s and have new account number (Change of Responsibility) for the android in question (haven't pulled trigger yet), unfortunately when talking with c/s reps over the phone I can't get ANYTHING that remotely resembles the talk/data that I need.  The individual plans on the Tmobile site are really expensive.

1.  I'm not a heavy data user.  I use 3g for google navigation in the field and email notifications - 200mb works fine for me.  I have a Tmobile comet which works fine.

2.  The rest of the time I use the voice (phone) for everything.

Even the cheapest plan is:

Unlimited Minutes + Unlimited Text + Unlimited 4G Data at $80 a month.

I don't even have a 4G phone.  I'm over 50 so I'm not one of these 'power users' that just has to get the latest youtube and facebook updates 24/7.  I don't need unlimited minutes - I need about 1000.  I don't need unlimited text (I can get away with pay as you go on this).  I don't need unlimited 4g data, (I only have a 3g phone and currently use less than 200mb per month).

Our current family plan is billed out for 3 phones at approx $130 per month.  $80 a month++ just to get something basic (voice + small data) for me (and continue using my existing mobile number) is way out of the ball park and I've been with competitors plans (at half this price) before and they work just fine for me.

So, can anybody identify with my problem?

I can't even do a 'Value Plan' as shown on the Tmobile site, as this isn't programmed into the system (from csr perspective) for a new split account like this.  I was ready to go with a $54 value plan,  which has the talk/data that I need, and continue using my existing Tmobile comet phone and my number.

But CSR's don't have this option.  Our next step is to go down to the Tmobile store and see if they can help us.

Failing this, I will port my number to a competitor, pay the $200 etf, and be done here.

With all of the headaches that companies face getting new customers, it doesn't make sense that there isn't a specific option that is provided to those that were on family plans, going through divorce, wanting to keep the same carrier and number with ease, and without all of this hassle.  You do it for people where they have loved ones that have passed away, (provided they send in a death certificate).  Why not provide this option for transfer to a new account at no charge for those that have a recent finalized divorce?  (And to a plan that doesn't cost more than half of the original plan price with three phones?!).

Thanks for any response.  I'd really like to stay with Tmobile, but the cost is prohibitive for services I have no need for.
