Emergency alert messages
Emergency alert messages is a voluntary emergency alerting system that is being developed by the federal government to deliver/ transmit alert messages to mobile devices.
There are three types of Emergency alert messages available to customers with capable devices: Presidential Alerts, Imminent Threat to Life & Property Alerts, and Child Abduction/ Amber Alerts.
Access
To access Emergency alert messages, follow these steps:
- If necessary, from any Home screen, select All to expand the panel.
- Scroll to and select the Emergency alert messages icon.
Settings
To change Emergency alert messages settings, follow these steps:
- If necessary, from any Home screen, select All to expand the panel.
- Scroll to and select the Emergency alert messages icon.
- Press the Menu key.
- Select Options.
- For the following alerts, select the check box to enable or clear the check box to disable the alerts:
- Extreme Threat Alert Messages
- Severe Threat Alert Messages
- AMBER Alert Messages
- Note: Presidential alert messages are automatically enabled and cannot be turned off.
- If desired, select Try it to hear and feel a simulated alert.
- Press the Menu key.
- Select Save.
Applications on BlackBerry World
Access BlackBerry World
To access BlackBerry World, follow these steps:
If necessary, select All on the Home screen to expand the Applications panel.
- Scroll to and select the BlackBerry World icon.
- Select the My World icon in the lower part of the screen.
- Enter your BlackBerry ID username and password.
- Select Sign In or Create New.
- If prompted, read the BlackBerry Membership Terms and Conditions.
- Scroll down and select I Accept.
- If prompted, read the BlackBerry World Membership Addendum.
- Scroll down and select I Accept.
Download and install free application
To download free games or applications, follow these steps:
If necessary, select All on the Home screen to expand the Applications panel.
- Scroll to and select the BlackBerry World icon.
- Locate and select the application you want to download.
- Select Download.
- If prompted, enter your BlackBerry ID username and password.
- Select Sign In or Create New.
- When the download is finished, select OK or Run.
Download and install paid application
To download paid games or applications, follow these steps:
If necessary, select All on the Home screen to expand the Applications panel.
- Scroll to and select the BlackBerry World icon.
- Locate and select the application you want to download.
- Select Purchase or $[x.xx] (dollar amount).
- If prompted, enter your BlackBerry ID username and password.
- Select Sign In or Create New.
- Select one of the following options:
- Bill through T-MobileUS
- Credit Card
- Select Next.
- Enter credit card billing information.
- Select Save.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- PayPal
- Select Next.
- If prompted, enter your PayPal log in email and password.
- Select I Agree.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Uninstall application
To delete or uninstall games or applications, follow these steps:
- If necessary, select All on the Home screen to expand the Applications panel.
- Scroll to and select the BlackBerry World icon.
- Select the My World icon at the lower part of the screen.
- Locate and scroll to the application you want to uninstall.
- Press the Menu key.
- Scroll to and select Delete.
- Select Deleteagain.
- If prompted, select Reboot Now or Reboot Later.
Games
Download via Computer
To download games from T-Mobile.com on a computer, follow these steps:
On a computer
Locate and download the game from T-Mobile.com.
On your phone
Note: An alert appears on your phone when the game is ready for download from T-Mobile.com.
- Select View.
- Select Go to URL.
- Select Yes to continue.
- Select GO.
- Select Yes to download.
