SMS / text messages to my daughter's phone randomly delayed 10 minutes or longer

My cellphone and my daughter's are both on T-Mobile (though not the same plan).  I have an iPhone SE; my daughter has an Alcatel Flip.

My SMS / text messages to my daughter will randomly get delayed more than 10 minutes -- in other words, she will not receive the message until 10 minutes  (sometimes even more) after I sent it.  She does not seem to have this problem with anyone else -- her text messages from schoolfriends, etc. all seem to arrive immediately.  Often, she will get a message her friends sent a few seconds ago, even while my SMS that I sent 10 minutes ago is still unreceived.

I got my daughter a cellphone specifically so we could communicate by text message to co-ordinate when she needs to be picked up from school, etc.  If SMS messages are delayed 10 minutes, this makes her phone pretty much useless.

Unable to unlock the eligible device

I had purchased Samsung S8 from T-Mobile. After paying off the amount device was unlocked and have been using with other carrier from last few months. I had to send the device back to Samsung to get it repaired. It came back with T-Mobile lock. I tried unlocking it using 'Device Unlock' app installed on the mobile but getting error message that 'Couldn't recognize the device, please contact customer care.'

Its been 5 days of multiple calling, talking to multiple associates, performing different steps suggested by all their associates/tech experts. However, no luck yet. I also tried with T-mobile as well as other carrier's SIM card to perform these steps. With other T-Mobile active SIM device works.

Samsung has confirmed that device has not been rooted and only T-Mobile can unlock it. Every time I speak to customer care and technical expert they request me to hang up to perform something and/or check something and they assure a call back. Till date, not a single executive has called back as promised.

I'm really frustrated and fed up and I think Legal Battle is the only option to get the issue resolved.

What is the best way to report coverage gaps to T-Mobile?

    $
    0
    0

Along my commute there are 2-3 stretches where coverage is consistently non-existent, I'm not sure how to best report these gaps to T-Mobile?  Can someone point me to a link or method?

The most painful spot is an extremely busy state route which shows 'No Service' on my phone for about 1~2 miles -- this is the center of town which includes about 50 businesses including - the police & fire depts, my kid's pediatrician, the library, starbucks, half a dozen banks, and other commercial business.

It's the most painful gap for me because the traffic there alternates between stopped and walking-pace in the morning, so it generally takes about 15-20 minutes to travel that short 1~2 mi stretch during the morning commute, and during that time I have no ability to send/receive texts via CarPlay, or to listen to streaming media.  It's also rough because I've got a baby, we're at the pediatrician every 2-3 months for one thing or another, and we're early to an appointment and he's asleep I can't check work email, call my wife, or do anything that requires a connection until I'm in the doctor's waiting room and connected to their WiFi hotspot.

There are tens of thousands of people in this area daily, many of them are likely T-Mo customers, so I have to assume this gap has been reported by others and I'd really like to add my voice to that chorus to say that this is bad enough that I've been considering switching carriers after having been w/ T-Mo since 2013.

Does anyone have any idea when the 8/5 Service Patch Level will be available on T-Mobile?

I am currently blocked from my work email and calendar due to the vulnerability announced here and I can't find anything about this on T-Mobile.  I know the impact to corporate email users is wide reaching.  I understand that the manufacturer (for me Samsung) has to make it available first. However, in Samsung's case there is currently no indication of the status or an ETA for the patch (here).

My hope is that someone at T-Mobile has more information than the link above from the manufacturer on when this patch will be available, and can set expectations accordingly.  Probably this is just a shot in the dark, but even an acknowledgement that this is an important patch and is on their radar would be nice.

Does anyone inside T-Mobile or external have better, more complete information?

However whenever i disconnect from my phone and switch to LTE i get every text ever all pver again. Literally 1000's. You would think the solution would be to leave lte on all the time? Wrong. When i leave lte on all the time then my watch and phone dont sync! If i read the text on my watch it wont update ththe phone anand vice versa. The point of the watch is to be able for the phone and watch to sync AND to leave your phone behind. Ive read dozens of users experienceing the same problem whats the fix tmoble? Ps this isnt an issue with the apple watch lte

LTE Suddenly Not Working on TMobile - Sony Xperia XA2 H3123

    $

Okay, first thing I'm posting this same thing on Sony as well to see if there is anything they come up with, and I've spoken to the TMobile tech department, James, which they have gotten basically no where in resolving this.  Though he was extremely helpful in at least resolving the issue that my number was somehow in a server and set for purging on your side, just weird.

I've had a brand new Sony Xperia XA2 (H3123) for over a year, working flawlessly on T-Mobile with LTE service showing all the time everywhere I go in Los Angeles areas or other areas as well.  Did my research on this phone prior to buying to ensure I was good to go on frequency's and bands with T-Mobile, as there are other models not on the same bands, but this one in particular is.

Android 9.0 says fully up to date.

Problem: starting Oct 5, 2019 my phone no longer can be connected to LTE and RECEIVE incoming calls or texts.  I CAN send texts, make out going calls, use the internet, email comes in and out, but NO incoming calls or texts happen.

*When I disable LTE, the phone reverts to H+ and all incoming calls and texts happen instantly no issues.

I really am not sure what could be the problem, besides T-Mobile changing something recently.

Any help would be truly appreciated in potentially fixing this back to being able to use LTE.

    Things I have done:

    Reset networks. Numerous time.

    Restart phone. Numerous times.

I ordered my new phone on the 22nd of September. Today I was charged for it from my bank account. It said the ship date was 10/08/19-10/10/19. I checked this afternoon and the ship date changed back to the initial ship date which was 10/15/19-10/29/19. Any idea of what is going on?

Samsung Galaxy s9 plus updates blocked?

    Hi,

I have a factory unlocked Samsung Galaxy s9 plus with tmobile sim. My software version was stuck on the January update from Samsung. Each month i would read posts stating that Samsung had released the latest android security patch & so I would check almost once a week for the update on my device, but it would always say that I am on the latest version. I used to think, they might be releasing it phase by phase and the update will trickle down to my device sooner or later. But i never got it.

After i grew impatient, i googled and came across few posts stating that tmobile is not allowing(blocking) the updates, and temporarily switching to other network sim will help. So to test this, i inserted a sim from other network. And guess what, my device first upgraded to June update, then to July and finally yo the August security update. Attaching screenshot for the August one. Screenshot_20190904-203722_Software update.jpg

Once the update finished, i switched back to tmobile sim.

I wanna know why tmobile was not allowing me to update?

(PS. I even tried wipe cache partition & soft reset before testing the network switch test, and it did not help)

When will One Plus receive the software update? From your website it does not look it is eben in line to be tested. Everyone else in the world will receive it except T Mobile customers.

How does T-Mobile ONE Military work in Alaska?

    Hello.

I will be moving to Eielson AFB (20 mi south east from Fairbanks) in Alaska and wanted to know exactly how T-Mobile will work up there. I've read that there's roaming with GCI but it wasn't clear how the plan is supposed to work. Do I pay anything extra? Is there a limit on how much data I can use? Is phone call and text still unlimited up there? Is there a question I should be asking that I'm not?

    Thank you for your help!
