JUMP gives you the freedom to upgrade your phone when you want, without hassle. Upgrades can be done twice a year, after just six months in the program. And if you're an existing T-Mobile customer, you'll never pay more than new customers.
JUMP also provides total protection against malfunction, damage, loss or theft – for $10 per month per phone.
While you can perform a JUMP upgrade by calling customer care, we highly recommend visiting a retail store for the best upgrade experience possible.

- Two JUMP upgrades per year. After a one-time, six-month waiting period, you can make your first JUMP upgrade.
Process
The JUMP upgrade process is simple:
- Trade-in your current, working, EIP-financed phone.
- Get your EIP balance paid off.
- Make a down payment on whatever new device you want.
- You’re upgraded!
If you're new to T-Mobile
- If you purchase one of our postpaid plans and purchase a device financed with our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP), you're eligible to enroll in JUMP any time within 14 days of activation.
- That’s it! There's no minimum data requirements and no restrictions.
- All postpaid customers with EIP-financed devices can enroll in JUMP any time within 14 days of activation.
If you're already with T-Mobile
- You're welcome to enroll in JUMP during an upgrade, warranty exchange, or if you add a line with EIP.
- You can enroll at any T-Mobile branded retail store or by calling customer care.
Note: Unfortunately, at this time, some of our retail partners who offer T-Mobile services and devices are not able to enroll you in JUMP.
