So I received a call from a T-Mobile store, "Customer Service Representative" telling me that I was overpaying for my service, and that she could save me money. She then outlined my ENTIRE account information, all my services, all my lines, even where I lived.
This was a store that I had NEVER been into. Never had any contact with before. They randomly pulled up my account and tried to sell to me, but I had to come into their store to get it. I declined and we disconnected.
My daughter an hour later received the same call. She is part of my plan, and I am the primary number on it. She couldn't do anything if she wanted to, why are they calling my other lines?
I went to the store, and the store manager told me that he and his employees have full rights to go in and look at ANY customer they want. I've met some pretty bad store employees that I wouldn't trust with a $5 bill, let alone my account information.
I've sent a letter regarding this issue to the T-Mobile Customer Relations group, we'll see if anything comes of it, but I wanted to WARN everyone that it appears that any T-Mobile employee has access to any T-Mobile customer account information. I'm not comfortable with this, and will be looking into what I can do to protect myself since T-Mobile apparently isn't.
