I used the chat function for the request. Better than using 611 because there is always a chance (on either end) the IMEI string of numbers gets written down or read/spoken wrong.
The rep said that if you wait more than 7 days from the time you last used the phone - you aren't eligible to get it Today was either day 8 or 9 - depending how you count. I asked him to submit the request, anyway, bearing in mind there were only 4 or 5 business days since 8/31 and that I've been a customer for 15 years+. (Before TM bought out Voicestream.)
Comment - The old unlock policy did not state there was a limit after last usage to get a phone unlocked. (Phone was bought fm. TM online over 2 years ago.) You only had to wait 90 days after you bought the phone. You could get 4 unlock codes a year. Now you can only get 2.
That aside -
Suggestion - It used to be you could email your unlock request. That method was much more cost effective for both customer and TM.
