not honoring black friday sales to current customer

I was all ready to purchase the Note 3 online today, but I tested two methods out. As a joining customer I can use the promo code SAVENOTE3 to save to 48 bucks over 2 years, AND have free shipping like the promotion says.

 

Through my second attempt, I tried to upgrade through my t-mobile account, but I did not get a prompt to add a promo code and shipping was not free. what the hell t-mobile!  The only thing that stayed the same was the 0$ down. Not to mention charging me for adding a line when I clearly chose to upgrade an exsisting line in the beginning.

 

Anyone have any answers to why this is? Customer care is closed for the Holiday so I'll otherwise be waiting until tomorrow.
