According to US Law, H.R.1123 - Unlocking Consumer Choice and Wireless Competition Act 113th Congress (2013-2014) If my account is in good standing, and my phone is paid off, T-mobile is REQUIRED by US law to let me unlock my phone, right? My phone is not blacklisted, not stole, and I have passed all the security questions, etc.
Well, they won't. I traveled overseas and my phones been in wifi only airplane mode, and now I got a local sim and want to use it. But it's locked.
They've added this bit: "In order to be eligible, the subscriber must have used the device within the last 7 days of the request being filed." Of course I am overseas and had not been using my cell phone! They can't just add this and make up their own rules against the law.
FUMING MAD at T-mobile.
