Hello all,
I have a question for everyone. My battery on my Samsung Galaxy S3 seems to
drain quickly. Yesterday I charged it to
100%. I unplugged it at 2 PM and put it
in my briefcase until about 5 PM. From
abut 5:10 PM until 5:35 PM I watched a local newscast on my phone. At about 5:35 PM I got the first warning that
my battery needed to be re-charged. It
was at 16%. I turned off the newscast
and a few minutes after that I got the second warning that the battery needed
to be re-charged. Now it was at about
8%. What is draining it so quickly?
Here is how my phone is setup. For Messaging I have no notifications
setup. No sound, vibration, or notice at
the top of the phone. On my email I have three accounts. My email is set the same way. No notifications at all. FYI both of these apps are the ones that came
with the phone. The main one I check
every 5 minutes, the second one every 10 minutes, and the third one every 15
minutes. When you have notifications on
and your screen is off your screen would light up if you got some type of
notifications but since I have all the notifications turned off when my screen is
off it hardly ever lights up. So while
my phone was in my bag for three hours it should not be pulling too much battery
power? I am not sure what else I need to
turn off? The only notifications that I
have that pop up are Messenger (Facebook) and ebay. I rarely get any from either one of those
apps. I did remove Facebook since I do
not use it a lot. I do have three local
TV station apps that update once in a while.
Could that be part of it? How can
I mange the battery power batter?
Also, I do not use Bluetooth at all and I do use Wifi at
work and home.
