Hello guys. I am having a strange issue. I have a Galaxy S3, and everything works fine on it, except for a perplexing problem with wi-fi calling. I have a prepaid account/sim and my wife has a tmobile postpaid account/sim. With her postpaid sim in the phone, Wi-fi calling works flawlessly. I can make calls, I can receive calls, and I don't experience any issues, the sound is good, no dropped calls, etc.
However, it is a very different story if i put my pre-paid sim into the phone. First, it seems to have issues. It takes a little longer, sometimes encounters the Reg99 and ER01 Certificate errors. But usually, eventually, it connects and I get a blue wi-fi calling sybol, saying the phone is ready to make calls. So, when I do try to make a call, I dial the number, but the phone never actually makes the dialing sound. It usually sits there trying to dial for about 5-6 seconds, then comes back and says call ended. Or, another thing it does, is recently, as soon as I dial the number, it gives me the message "Your call cannot be completed as dialed, please check the number or call 611 for customer service." It does this pretty quickly, withing 2-3 seconds.
Funyn thing is, I can't dial 611, it gives me the same message. However, I CAN call my voicemail... and, usually, I CAN receive calls over the wifi, but I can't make them.
I've tried doing a factory reset. I've talked to Customer Service (I have a pending ticket right now), and I do have my 911 address setup.
I think the problem has to be with the prepaid system vs. postpaid. Since the phone is factory reset/stock, the only difference is the sim (and yes, I have recent sim, I just went to a tmobile store lastnight to get a new one to make sure). If I have my pre-paid sim in, it won't dial out, I get the "cannot be completed as dialed" message. I power the phone off, put in my wife's postpaid sim, and boot up and it works flawlessly.
Anyone have any idea what is the deal? I really want to use this phone, and I have to have wi-fi calling, the tmobile signal in and around my house is almost non existant, 1 bar or less usually.
Thanks.
