The Simple data plan on T-Mobile is not what it claims to be. I just added the Simple plan and was under the impression that there is no overage charge. I went into the website to make sure I didn't read the plan wrong. It specifically says "You won’t incur overages if you exceed your plan’s allotment of high-speed data, but your data speeds will be reduced for the rest of your billing cycle. "
However, in my plan details, there is $0.10/MB listed. so i called T-mobile to verify whether there will be charge if there is overage.
I was talking to a rep. He kept saying, "Sorry for the confusion.There is no such plan where after 200MB it is reduced speed with no overage. There is only one with the 2G, that is the one which the overage will be at the reduced speed." In order to avoid overage charge, i need to switch to the capped version of the plan.
It is very confusing andI'm still frustrated about the incorrect description it has for the Simple plan.
