I bought a Galaxy S2 last month since I had enough of my Sidekick being a useless brick. I went to the TMobile store in the mall where they said that my plan was obsolete (from 2009) and a new plan would save $20 a month. I bought the phone (full price/installments since I was buying it a few months early) and we changed my plan. Everything seemed fine until a week later when my new phone stopped working. The S2's TMobile app told me I had no data plan. I called customer service a couple days later and they told me that not only was my data plan erased, but my unlimited texting was gone too! I didn't notice for a few days because I had been using WiFi at home. Thankfully the rep restored my plan and I wasn't charged for the data and texting I had done in the interim.
My december bill was automatically paid today costing $250 more than usual. I called and they said there were fees associated with moving plans. I don't recall reading anything stating that when I changed plans and the rep at the store sure as hell never mentioned it. The customer service rep on the phone today had the nerve to tell me that I would save money in the long run. Really? A year into my new contract I'm going to break even due to fees I wasn't informed about and I'm supposed to be happy about that? And now to dispute it I'm supposed to write to Customer Relations in New Mexico by snail mail. Seeing as how the rebate for my new phone will take 6-8 weeks for processing I'm not hopeful.
