Hello to the community

I installed the DIGITS app on several devices, but I only want my old phone to ring when an incoming call is received (Not my main phone).

I do not want my main phone rings for any incoming call that comes through the digits! How can I stop it? But I still want to see the text messages and voicemails and call logs from DIGITS. I just dont want my phone rings for the DIGITS incoming calls.

Thank you,

Data restriction needs to be added to "Family Allowances" package

Data restriction needs to be added to "Family Allowances" package! Although data slows to 2G when used up, that is not enough in today's society where kids use 90% data & 10% talk/text. We would love to be able to "cyber-ground" our teenager by limiting data during certain times of the day or taking away/shutting off her data when necessary. But we still want her to to be able to call & text on her phone to reach us if necessary. I talked to a person in T-Mobile's tech division today who also had a teenager and is facing the same problem where her teenager used 30GB in a month!! She said she was surprised T-Mobile hasn't done this yet. But there is no way to shut off or limit data on a phone line - other than physically taking away the phone. Granted it doesn't cost parents anything if teens use up data or go over, but what kind of lesson is that teaching kids? We need better parental controls accessible to us as parents. Data is the problem with kids now a days & we need assistance being able to control it as parents.  AT&T, Sprint & Verizon all include parental controls (including Data control) for FREE! Granted to me it was worth $5 for the Family Allowance but it's only for call, text,& purchases. So it does us no good since our teenager barley talks or texts on her phone. It's all data usage with her. All we can do it put the 'id, teenager, young adult restrictions on our lines for "Surfing".

Has anyone else got royally screwed by T-Mobile BOGO promotion where you were signed up to Jump program instead?

I got royally screwed by T-Mobile.  I saw the BOGO (Buy One Get One Free promotion) back in early November.  I was prepared to pay for the iPhone 8 Plus at $800, and I would get the other $800 for free.

I was told when I upgraded to an iPhone 8 Plus that I should go for the monthly payments instead of outright purchasing the device.  I was confused but basically the sales person talked me into making payments, which totaled (he said) the same as I would pay for instantly purchasing the device.  So I agreed.  I was under the impression that I would be getting my $750 credit card in 6-8 weeks.  It never came.

So I called the promotions department thinking there was a delay or a simple mistake. WRONG! I found out because I was on the Jump program that THEY put me on therefore I didn't qualify for the BOGO promotion.  I told them that word "JUMP" program or "Lease" was never used in my conversation when I signed up back in November.  I didn't realize that I was signing up for a LEASE!!!!!  This was never explained to me, and I would have NEVER agreed to this to leasing a phone I wouldn't own at the end!  Why would I agree to a Jump program that would mean I would pay $1600 after everything is said and done to lease and own the phone in 18 months?

I wanted to Buy One and Get One Free.  How hard of a concept is this?!?!?!?!

I looked at my lease and here's the math.  Total Lease amount is $594 * 2 phones.  I pay $66 a month for 18 months which equals $1188.  BUT I have to pay additional $206 per phone ($412 for both phones) to OWN the phones which comes out to $1600, they offered to give me $400 credit. which means, I'm STILL SHORT of $400.

I demanded they give me what I would have been promised for BOGO which is I pay $800 for the phone for the promise of getting a free phone that's worth the same price... no luck!  Anything short of that promise is simply fraud to consumers.  I'm still $400 short and I'm about to write the CEO of the company if this doesn't get resolved.

Anyone else has a similar experience?

Anybody else experiencing this problem? I'll drop random messages from people that will have to screen shot their sent message and send it to me to prove that it sent. Sometimes it goes though, sometimes it doesn't. I'm on a Galaxy S8

Coverage in 87102 and 87123

Zip: 87102 and 87123

I made sure I asked about VoLTE coverage when I purchase the device approx 3 weeks ago; they continually told me I would get it on my S8+ only to find out via a senior tech that they don't support my device

- I don't receive calls typically and if I do, my line cuts out on them or just gets completely quiet; I've essentially given up on making calls using my phone

- I rely on wifi calling but cannot use this at work and this is unstable naturally

What were the other questions?

I would LOVE to get this resolved

I had this issue when I first got service with Tmobile three years ago; I find it ironic that I get a new phone and the same things happen

I'm not one to complain. I truly want this fixed

Hello there fellow T-Mobilites!

As we were sorely lacking a thread to say hello and introduce yourself, I figured I'd whip one up. Feel free to just pop in and say hello if you're new here, or even if you're an old timer. I also borrowed a few questions from "Inside The Actor's Studio" to get to know everyone a little better. I'll start:

  • What phone are you using?
  • Where do you live?
  • What is your favorite word?
  • What is your least favorite word?
  • What makes you happy?
  • What  makes you sad?
  • What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
  • What profession would you not like to do?

How to disable pop-up warning about Data roaming

$

I have the T-Mobile Simple Choice North America plan, which includes free overseas texting and roaming (I'm currently studying in the UK). Yesterday my Samsung Galaxy Edge S7 received and installed a T-Mobile software update. Ever since then I've been getting the following pop-up warning:

"Attention Data roaming is turned on. International roaming charges may apply as per your rate plan. To turn off Data roaming, please go to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks"

Does anyone know how to stop this from continuously popping up?

Changing carriers. T-mobile: the unscrupulous carrier

I recently left Tmobile. After I changed carriers, I called Tmobile to cancel my account and to check that my number had gone over to the new carrier. Apparently, I was also supposed to deport out of my account. No one mentioned this to me when I called Tmobile after moving to a different carrier. Now they say I own for 2 months after I had already changed carriers. This sucks!!!!

I had an account with T-mobile for over 12 years. I wish I had switched earlier!!!

Standard International Calling Rates - Charged Higher than Posted

$

So there were some international calls made to country code +86 on my number which cost $3.00 per minute.  For a total of 70 minutes, which equates to $210.

However, T-mobile publishes the rate as $1.99 a minute as shown on their website.  As I was on the phone with the agent, I could not provide the link as there is no way to send him the link, but here it is https://www.t-mobile.com/Cms/Files/Published/0000BDF20016F5DD010312E2BDE4AE9B/5657114502E70FF301380BCCA3EB86A4/file/Stan…

At $1.99 this at least reduces my charges from $210 to $139.30.

and it should be reduced but I have no way to send the link to the agent on the phone.

Basic phone shows msg. about firmware/IMEI tampered

Hi, everyone. I have a T-Mobile Prepaid Samsung T199 basic phone. I just powered it on and it displayed this message:

Firmware/IMEI on your Mobile phone tampered !. Please contact T-Mobile customer service center.

I tried powering it off but it wouldn't, so I removed the battery. I then replaced the battery and powered it on again and got the same message. I removed the battery again and also removed the SIM, then I replaced the battery (but not the SIM) and I powered it on again and got the same message again. I guess I have to take it to a T-Mobile store, huh? Would they be able to clear this message, though? In case it matters, the phone is out of warranty.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Data Passes

$

I used to pay 40 dollars a month for 3 GB of data but only used 200mb of it. That is a huge waste of money and the only downgrade available was the pay as you go option. I don't really make calls or text that often either so i figured it would work for me. I do need to use the internet from time to time for GPS, etc, so i figured i would just buy a data pass for a day or week when i need it. Let's say if somehow my phone gets lost or stolen: Could i add data passes to my phone from my desktop to use Find My Iphone?
