Two family plans, moving back to one

$

I have 11 lines with T-mobile since many years. Recently I inquired about moving my few lines to T mobile one plan and I was assured a great rate plan for 4 lines by account specialist. They have created new account for me and moved 4 lines from existing line. After 2 weeks, no followed up from t-mobile, so i called the customer care and they said there is no such rate plan available and they can not get me that plan. I was given wrong information from them. After that they have forwarded my call to Loyalty department and I was given an offer that my four lines would be moved back to my old account and they will waive the charges associated with new account but still i have to pay for 2 sim cards that they have ordered for my new account and also i will be charged for 2 weeks services have been used with new account.

SO here i dont understand that i have created new account because i was promised for a great deal so why should i have to pay any charges related to new account?

Secondly Why should i bare those $53 for sim cards that I have ordered just for new account?

Third, my fours lines that i have moved to new account have already tmobile servies with my existing account so why i have to pay for those lines that received services under new account?

Very disappointing with t mobile. Never had this kind of bad experience.

Really thinking to take my all 11 lines to another carrier as t mobile does appreciate my business.

Just upgraded my phone today and the customer service agents were trying to tell me to upgrade to T-Mobile One. I spoke to 3 separate people, 2 said I can keep the discount after the upgrade, 1 said I will lose it. So any thoughts?

Service in Grand Portage, MN?

I've been asked about T-Mobile service in Grand Portage, MN. There was an article in the Cook Co. News Herald back in July about the county approving the lease of towers in Grand Portage. The current coverage map shows LTE service based in Hovland but service in Grand Portage is shown as non-LTE service and looks like roaming. What's happening in Grand Portage?

Complete removal of voicemail from DIGITS T&T Line

Hi tmo_chris , tmo_marissa

I wish to completely remove voicemail from my DIGITS T&T lines. The reason is whenever my parents or friends call me from India to my DIGITS T&T number, and I am not able to answer, the call goes to voicemail. At that time they get charged heavy international call fee. Hence I wish to remove that feature from my DIGITS T&T lines. Is there any way to do that? I am trying to work with T-Force via Twitter support for last 3 hours but apparently, it is not happening. Please let me know.

Prepaid Support Won't Unlock an "Unlocked" iPhone

$

Ugh, I had the worst time with Prepaid technical support. It was almost half a year of back and forth with prepaid technical support and a long, long list of case numbers. No one could help me with my eBay purchased "unlocked" phone because I had ported out my iPhone to another carrier already rather than before. Once your account is ported, it is impossible to unlock your phone without paying for new service, like you were a new customer. Lame!!!

Be careful with T-Mobile if you have an unlocked phone. Even if you didn't buy the phone from them, once you put a T-Mobile sim in your phone for any reason, T-Mobile will lock your phone to their network and you will have to pay them money to unlock it.

Eventually, I was able to get support through social media but T-Mobile's technical support department just keeps saying they're going to escalate it and even when you talk to a supervisor, they're not able to help you. T-Mobile's technical support department is pretty much a lame duck. They have zero power to unlock a phone without paying more money.

No plan for me

Just signed up with T-Mobile and not really happy about it.

Apparently T-Mobile is just like all the other carriers and doesn't want to offer a plan for people like me.

I don't need or want that much data so I signed up for one of the prepaid plans. Apparently that excludes me from any of the trade-in upgrade deals though, so I won't be buying an iPhone X from you. Why would you limit this deal to only people who want unlimited data?

And as a young person without a family, I don't see why I should have to pay $75 / line when others are paying $40 / line.

If I changed to your unlimited plan to get the iPhone X deal it would save me $200 extra with my $100 trade-in, but it would cost me an extra $600 of unnecessary service over two years.

I guess you really don't want my money, so fine - I'll just stick with the bare minimum.

Signal Booster vs. LTE Cellspot

$

I recently started tmobile service and have poor service in our house. we had poor service in our house with verizon also, it's just the area we are in with the nearest cell tower being 4 miles away.

I asked for a device to help with that and tmobile is sending a signal booster. but then i read more about it and found tmobile has an LTE cellspot as well, so I asked for that to be sent to me as well.

from what i've read so far, i am leaning towards using the Cellspot. but my question about it is: can i setup so that only the phone numbers I want to connect can use it ? neighboring homes are 50 -100 ft away. so my only concern is if other tmobile subscribers find the signal and connect to it.

privacy and accountability of what goes thru my internet connection:

the rep said that the cellspot would keep track of the IMEI devices that use it. somewhat worried about being accountable for someone else's illegal internet activities via the cellspot, even when the IMEI is logged - the activity is still highlighted as passing thru my internet connection.

can i enable registered phone numbers that can access the cellspot ?

signal in the home:

i suppose the cellspot is superior because it doesn't rely on any incoming cellular signal. i have no choice but to keep it near my router.

any concerns at all about health ? this is basically a miniature cell tower not sure if signals/frequencies are in a similar category as wifi ....

thanks

WEA / Emergency Alerts for Wrong Region

Ever since making the switch to TMO a month ago, I get emergency alerts for Arizona even though I live in San Francisco. I also don't seem to get any emergency alerts or amber alerts for SF. I haven't even traveled to AZ ever so I don't know why this is happening. I've verified that my billing, primary service address, and 911 address are all correct (my home address in SF). I called in and talked to "Advanced Tech Support" twice about this and both times they claimed they were "fixing the service address" which should solve the problem, but days later I'm still getting emergency alerts for AZ. Yes, I did power cycle my phone several times... Does anyone at T-mobile know how I can get the correct emergency alerts? I never had this problem on verizon and am frustrated that my safety is at risk by using T-mo if I miss some important alert.

Apple BOGO and carrier freedom!

So in December my husband and I went in our local T-Mobile store to find out about switching from our current carrier. We were told about the carrier freedom promotion since one of our phones was paid off but not the other. In addition we were told about the other. We were only planning on getting one new phone and keeping one of our current phones. We were then told about the BOGO iPhone deal they had going on. I repeatedly asked about being able to do both promotions and was told yes. We would submit the iPhone rebate after 24 hours and the carrier rebate after our final bill came in. Well here we are 6-7 weeks later after the carrier rebate was disbursed of course now the BOGO rebate has been denied. When I called they said I could only use one rebate which is NOT what we were told in store. If we would have been told that then obviously I would have chosen the larger rebate (the iPhone) vs the small amount I owed to my previous carrier. Or We would Not have gotten the new phones in the first place! We didn’t need new phones. When I called the salesperson who helped me she kept trying to tell me she only gave me the paperwork for both promos so I could decide which one I wanted. Um again why would I choose the smaller rebate?! So now I have an extra $750 installment plan on my account that wasn’t supposed to be there. Never again believe he t-mobile sales people.
