I've been noticing that trying to do anything on the internet on my phone without wifi has been pretty terrible, so I've been running speed tests both at my office near downtown San Diego and my house in the eastern part of the city over the past few days. The speeds are absolutely terrible.

I'm using a Google Pixel 2 XL on the unlimited T-Mobile One plan.

 

Are you guys aware of this and if so, are you planning on fixing it?

Unable to swap Device Protection feature to a different phone number. What happens if customer decides to cancel the phone number where the feature was originally added to? How does EIP get transferred to a newly transferred number in this scenario?

I am wondering how lond do tmobile needs to release an update for Samsung Galaxy S8 update? Tomorrow March 16 new S8 shall be out with new Oreo. tmobile puts their bloatware into it?

DIGITS and Samsung Gear S3 Frontier

Hoping someone could offer suggestions or point me in the correct direction. I spent over 4 hours yesterday on the phone with customer service, spoke to about 9 different people and here I am with no answers. I am trying to set up DIGITS on the Samsung Gear S3 frountier. No one with Tmobile seems to know how to do this. I was told to set up the auto forwarding in the gear settings however that only works if it is connected via Bluetooth. CAN THE DIGITS BE SET UP TO WORK WITH THE GEAR S3 FROUNTIER? If so how is it done? When I try to do it myself the line is not listed. HELP!!

Ported a line from Verizon to my business account and no SMS

Hello,

 

I ported a line over from Verizon to my T-Mobile business account on Friday, March 9, and this user still can not receive or sent any SMS messages. All phones on my account are unlocked Android phones, and this user is using a brand new Moto X4 (not the only one on my account), and no SMS. When you try to send one it fails immediately and none are received. Voice and LTE data are working just fine. I spent 45 minutes on the phone yesterday and got transferred 4 times, to finally be told they did a "re-broadcast" and I was to wait 24 hours and I would receive a text message and all would be working again. Well this has not happened and still no SMS.

 

I checked all the APN settings and they are all correct, although I've never had to mess with the APN settings when putting a T-Mobile SIM in an unlocked phone.

 

Any ideas, because my employee needs SMS and next thing is to port back to Verizon.


Not Receiving calls and delayed text messages

Hi all, trying to find a resoultion to this issue that's been happening for the past 5 months. My phone is an unlocked HTC u11.

 

Randomly I will not receive calls when I have full bars. It doesn't show up as a missed call or anything. The person will message me on another messenger and when I call them back I usually get a bunch of text messages time-stamped from the past hour that I have also missed.

 

I will also randomly receive voicemails with no missed calls indicating that again, I've missed a call but it does not show up in my notifications .

 

I've tried all the resetting everything on my phone, I've disabled wifi calling and volte but the problem persists. Has anyone experienced this and had it fixed?

Terrible Data Service in Bellevue, WA

I live and work in Bellevue, WA, the same city where the T Mobile headquarters are located, and the data service is unbelievably bad. I recently switched to T-Mobile and never had a problem before. Now I have to be on wifi in order to get anything to work. I have trouble getting websites to even load while using data, whether I am in the grocery stores downtown, or in nearby neighborhoods. I have called support multiple times and they just reset the connection to my phone, which hasn't helped. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am using an iPhone 6s.

SIP Trunking - Feature request

TMO would really make an impact in the small business market if they offered SIP trunking, with DIGITS TMO is 90% of the way to being a Ring Central killer, offices need that integration with office phone systems - 3CX, FreePBX etc

 

It can be done with GSM <-> SIP gateways, but that's cludgy

When using DIGITS from my Tmobile Samsung S7 Edge through WIFI by a Huawei M3 Mediapad. The person called hears their voice and echoes. Any suggestions? have resintalled 2x

Slow data/congested tower

I am a MetroPCS customer. MetroPCS customer service is out of the country, and horrid, and they think that sounding super cheerful to the point of spilling out of their mouth is great. It's actually sickening. Nobody is willing to help me with slow internet (very slow... <1 Mbps during most of the day). I've been told all they do is contact "Net Care", which they say is TMobile. Even their "supervisors" refuse to acknowledge technical issues. I need help. My phone, and my mom's phone are constantly locked into a bad/contested/compromised tower on band 4 per the LTE Discovery app. She has a new Galaxy J7 2017.

 

My phone is Nexus 6P Android 8.1, and playing with turning the radio off and on has allowed me to discover the bad/congested/abused tower, and the better performing one. However, the connection always switches from the better tower to the bad tower after at most 5 minutes. Often much sooner. The first is the "compromised" tower (CID 14fa203/21996). The second is the better performing tower (CID 152ed06/22211) that I cannot stay connected to for any extended period of time. Obviously it is impractical to be constantly flipping the airplane mode switch. Again, I've never had slow internet to the point of near-nonexistence before at my home location.

MetroPCS claims the engineers "found nothing wrong". I completely understand, again, being 2nd fiddle to the TMobile customers. But this is obscene. Congestion time range shouldn't be from sun-up to after 9pm.

 

I will also note that I usually observe an average of -106dBm signal strength. Sometimes it gets as strong as -96dBm on the better tower, but it doesn't maintain for long before the connection jumps to the bad tower. Usually when I'm away from home, speedtest results in excess of 20Mbps - the "turbo" range.

 

Of interest to note: my brother is an actual TMO customer. Same phone. His phone also connects to the "compromised" tower and his speedtest app result was less than 3Mbps down.

Unreliable Customer Service

I am writing to notify you of my dissatisfaction with the service I have received this past week. On Monday I discovered that T- Mobile processed my payment twice. I understand that glitches happen. However, I was very disappointed in the run around that I received. I contacted T-Mobile on Monday about the double payment. I was told that I would have a refund issued by Friday at the latest. I contacted my bank and they informed me that if they received a written statement from T-Mobile stating that there was a double payment made and that it was ok for the bank to issue the refund. I then called T-Mobile back and gave the information needed for them to fax my bank. I was assured that the fax would be sent that Thursday morning. I called back that afternoon only to discover that the fax had not been sent. I was then told that it was being sent over a second time, it was STILL never sent. I called back the next morning and gave the information again and AGAIN was assured that the memo would be faxed. IT WASN'T!! I have had to go over a week without the funds in my bank. I feel as though there was no compensation of any kind offered for the inconvenience. I felt as though the representatives told me to basically just deal with it. They kept repeating that I would receive my refund within 3 days. It was more than 3 days. I have been a loyal customer for 13 years and I am truly disappointed in the service I have received in dealing with this matter. I don't feel as though the situation was resolved in a timely fashion at all. This occurrence has me seriously seeking out other options for my wireless carrier. A response or acknowledgement of this email would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you


MMS and group text not working while on WIFI on MOTO G5 Plus

I can not send/receive MMS or group text on MOTO G5 Plus while on WIFI either at home or at work. I have tried every suggestion regarding APN settings and nothing works.

so I just bought a brand new Moto Z2 force from TMobile a few days ago. So the issue I've been having is that sproadically (twice in the past 3 days) I haven't been able to send or receive texts for a few hours. Whenever I attempt to send texts it doesn't send and tells me "Can't send message with SIM1, error 28". I restart my phone, force restart my messages app and it still doesn't allow me to send or receive texts. When I have this issue I make sure to check that I have reception by giving a call and checking to see if I have data by surfing the web (using LTE and wifi) and it's working. This issue doesn't only happen in one location but it happened in two different areas. I was with a friend the second time and asked him to send me a text however I didn't receive it even though it said sent on his phone.

 

The odd thing is that within a few hours later I get spammed with all of the texts that I couldn't receive and I am finally able to send texts as well. This issue then disappears for a while and then reappears later. I called TMobile about it however they just told me to reset it and they weren't very helpful. I'm in Anchorage so Tmobile uses GCI(local partner) towers here. I previously had an iPhone 6S and I never had any issues with sending or receiving texts here while using GCI so thats why I'm thinking it has to do something with my new phone

Does anyone know when android Oreo will come to the S8?

Hey everyone I was just curious if anyone had a inside scoop for Android Oreo. I know they finished up the beta so where is the update at. I'm so tired of waiting since its been a year now and my S8 has not received a single OS update which is crappy on Samsung's part.  Anywho, like I was saying if anyone knows a roundabout date that would be awesome or if you are receiving the update even better yet.

How to disable pop-up warning about Data roaming

I have the T-Mobile Simple Choice North America plan, which includes free overseas texting and roaming (I'm currently studying in the UK). Yesterday my Samsung Galaxy Edge S7 received and installed a T-Mobile software update. Ever since then I've been getting the following pop-up warning:

"Attention Data roaming is turned on. International roaming charges may apply as per your rate plan. To turn off Data roaming, please go to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks"

 

Does anyone know how to stop this from continuously popping up?

i switched my mom and father’s line from VERIZON because I felt tuat the plan they offered for seniors would be good. BIG MISTAKE! initially everything started well it when I added the second line, they kept asking me for a PIN?? I opened my mom’s account and I never set a pin. So w one was placed by default I don’t know?? So now my 80 year old mother has had such a hard time trying to access her account because everyte I’ve called the system is down or there is always a problem. im almost 3 hours away fromy mom so I can’t help Her with her issue d they won’t access the account without this PIN! So I called and this condescending jerk gets on the phone, instead of helping me he was telling how I should have opening the account at mobile?!  He was completely rude and I explained this by far has been the worst experience I’ve had And he was just adding to it. I would rather PAY top dollar to avoid having this low grade service. I wish I had never changed my parents out. this issue has not been resolved and I need to speak to the director of customer or whoever is behind this department. I should not be treated like this, nor my poor elderly mother!! Shame on T-Mobile. I will not stop here!
