So this should be a cautionary post. If you are currently a T-Mobile customer and you want to change to the no contract plan, you WILL be required to pay a termination fee of $200 per line. Dispite no information, at all, and several emails encouraging me to "pre-register for the iPhone to 'lose' the plan," I found through a conversation with a T-Mobile customer service rep, and confirmed via an online chat that I cannot "lose my plan" for another YEAR!!
This information was not easy to come by either. I had to rephrase my question about 5 times to a true answer. The bottomline is T-Mobile isn't breaking free of the contracts!!
I am very disturbed by this very fuzzy marketing scheme.
