Frustrated with not being a valued customer

How many of you have had a similar experience to this?

I have been with t-mobile for a couple of years now, always paid my bill on time and now my contract is up (family plan 4 lines).

I start searching for new plan (want to upgrade to smart phones and data) and find a promotional that T-mobile is running which would suit me and my family nicely, 4 new phones, upgraded plan, and 2 year contract. Upon trying to check out, I can't because it says it is for new customers....but I ask you, when I look at t-mobile's own documents (http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-1681) it states that a customer after 22 months is 'Same as New' ....Is that just bunk?? I am not getting treated 'Same as New'

Same As New

This is a better discount than Early Upgrade Plus. You must be on a 2-year contract and meet both of these requirements:

  • 22 months since your last upgrade
  • On a qualifying rate plan*

I called customer service and got the run around...not willing to match the new customer plan I had wanted to purchase, was offered a token $100 off a phone, still fell very short of what a new customer would get.

I am in business for myself and know that it takes more to bring more time/effort/money to bring in a new customer than keeping your existing customers happy...What gives? Why doesn't T-mobile get this??? I want to be a loyal customer, but do not feel you value my business, you would rather churn customers.

At this point I am contemplating leaving to go to another company and get better treatment. I can get an iphone 4 for .99 as a new customer, but honestly, I would rather not join the ranks of iphone users if I didn't have to.
