I tried to request one of these from customer service tonight.
On the phone for 27 minutes. Got transferred 3 times.
First person, customer care, yes you qualify let me transfer you to tech support. ok
Second person, tech support, yes you qualify, letme transfer you to another tech support that can help you out with that. ok
Third person, tech support, did not speak English very well, kept wanting me to go through troubleshooting with my phone even though I told him it was not the phone, that my wife has the same problem. We can't get good signal downstairs, upstairs no problem. After being polite for about 15 minutes I lost patience and told him flat out that I wanted a cel-fi signal booster if possible. Ok, let me transfer you to someone that can help you. ok
Fourth person, another level of tech support I suppose. She can speak English. Oh from our coverage map we show that you only get spotty coverage and thus the cel-fi device would not do you any good. Say what? I get 3 bars of 4g upstairs no problem. Sorry sir we show spotty coverage. Ok I went on rant with her, though I did keep my cool.
But even though my wife SWEARS by T-Mobile customer support I am fast getting to point I can't stand them. Sorry. Second frustating call with tech support in past 3 months.
STOP with the people that have trouble speaking English that all they do is read some script. And have you repeat stuff your have already done and then have you repeat the same step several times on the phone.
I just want the device to help with downstairs coverage.
LOYAL customer for 8 YEARS.
Don't care what the wife says I am ready to switch.
Or does anyone know how to get through to them that this device will indeed help someone like me.
