Need Booster Duo+ - tech support doesn't have a clue

$

I am in an area that provides me with marginal coverage via Band 12.  I requested a Signal Booster that didn't help at all.  I discovered that it is a D32-24 which I have learned is the older version that doesn't work on Band 12.

In my investigation online I have found out that I need a Signal Booster Duo+ (not just a Duo) and the the model number should be D32-21266 and it should be a V2 unit.  I have called tech support (even level 2) and nobody has a clue about the different signal boosters.  They are sending a 'replacement unit' but I just discovered that it is a RS3 unit which I believe is a non-Band 12 unit.  I have tried two more time to find out what is on order but the tech support cannot tell me the model number or if there is such a model as D32-21266 or V2.

That said - my question is how does one reach someone at T-Mobile that is tech savy.  The people that I get, even Level 2, are obviously non-US people that cannot deal with anything out of the norm.

LG K30 doesn't send text alerts via blue tooth

My previous LG phone, running Android 4, would send text messages over blue tooth to my cars' blue tooth enabled radios. The LG K30 with Android 7 does not. The one radio even says the device is not compatible with blue tooth messaging.  Any solutions?

Warranty Exchange- Unacceptable experience

$

I'm a 10+ years T-mobile account holder, with  4  lines/accounts (business) in addition to my personal one.

Let me tell you a story about my experience today, and actually for the past 2.5 weeks, when my phone stopped working properly- You know, the phone i paid full price for.

For the first time ever, I activated the warrant exchange program as my screen stopped working (Screen)- no issues there, I received a replacement (refurbished) phone within 3 days.

Bad part, the refurbished phone was defected! So I had a none working phone, replaced with another none working phone! Here I go again, calling customer care, going through the same process I just went through, placing an order to have another phone sent to me, one that hopefully works properly.

Fast forward 5 days, I received phone- but as i open the box, ITS NOT THE PHONE I HAD! instead of a Samsung, i was sent an LG!

So guess what, aside from being super pissed about all the time and frustration this is costing me, and not having a proper phone, I now have to call Customer care again, to get a correct phone sent to me.

This is where things got ugly, and 100% unacceptable- Customer Care advised me that my phone, the Samsung 7, is OUT OF STOCK apparently. Ok, so how do we continue from there? Customer Care tells me I will need to reach into my pocket and upgrade to a Samsung 9 now, in order for them to send me a working phone!  So lets get this straight, I paid full price for a new phone, the phone is defected (not due to any of my wrongdoing), and now I am being asked to purchase a different phone because T-mobile is out of stock on the S7 and cannot send me a replacement one under warranty? Excuse me but that is complete utter nonsense (I wont use other words). This is not how warranty exchange works, and out of GOOD customer service, if you really cant get me the same phone that I purchased, you should provide a free upgrade on your tab, or another solution which is free to me, as I am already paying you for my current phone.

The Customer rep escalated it , and I was advised a supervisor will call me back because they were currently busy with another customer, that was hours ago, i am not holding my breath for a call anytime soon.

So this is how a 10+ years count holder is being treated, buyers beware. I will provide updates of my case n so everyone can see how T-Mobile handles this situation.

Suddenly no Data, Calls or Texts inside building

Sorry but this is going to be long.

I have been TMobile customer for YEARS. I have only noticed the coverage getting better thru the years (yippee).
Then I got a new job and I had zero coverage inside the building (they do not allow me to connect to Wi-Fi). Not happy since I know that both Sprint and Verizon work inside the building (i had those phones for other jobs I was working-don't ask). I happen to get the S9+ and I was getting calls and text message then. No data but that is fine, I am ok with that. Then all of the sudden it just stopped. I have this $800 rock for 45 hours a week. Why would it just stop like that when the Sprint and Verzion phones didn't?

Is there any solution other than changing carriers??

Misc info 46809 is the zip and I have 5 bars but again no data.

Extremely slow connection speeds

In my apartment I'm having extremely slow speeds . Ookla speed test shows 0.05 for downloads and 0.01 for uploads , and it also says connection some where in mass even tho I'm in RI . Is there any way that I can fix this ? I've already tried the basic stuff like clearing extra cache , turning the phone off , turning on airplane mode and things like that . I have a Samsung galaxy j3 prime with the tmobile one international unlimited plan . Thanks !

Completely locked out of T-Mobile service and My T-Mobile account.

I'm going to try to provide as concise a backstory as possible.

This weekend phone worked perfectly fine, no hiccups, service great, all is well. Well this morning, I wake up to find that I forgot to pay my bill (I'm a prepaid customer) and didn't put a card on for autopay. No issues, I think and I try dialing 611 to make a payment. It tells me "Your call cannot be completed at this time, please contact the account owner if you have questions." I AM the account owner is the issue. It then automatically sends a text from 8900 saying "Free TMO Msg: Your monthly payment is due. To make a payment dial *233 or redeem a refill card or to make a collect call with 1-800-COLLECT just dial *182." Problem is that trying both of those numbers gives the same message and resends that text.

Trying to send a text I get a message "Free Msg: Unable to send message - Message Blocking is active." I cannot get any incoming texts or calls confirmed with my spouse.

I eventually use a different phone to make my payment, it says it'll post in a couple hours and I'll get email and text notifications of payment received. Not only have I not received any notification of payment received, I checked my statement history today and I have been charged TWICE for a payment I only submitted once.

I contacted Tech Support who actually made it possible to make phone calls out for a couple of minutes, but then they reversed whatever they did to fix it despite me saying it fixed that fraction of the issue. They then submitted a ticket and gave me the ticket # and said they'd be in touch.

On top of all of this, I cannot access my My T-mobile account at all. Logging in gives me this message: "Oh no! You are not authorized to access this account. If you are the account owner, please dial 611 from your T-Mobile phone or 1-877-778-2106 from a non T-Mobile phone. You can also use one of the links below to continue: " with links to support references. And again I am the account owner and the only line on my prepaid account.

So basically, I've been charged twice today for service that is completely not working and am completely unable to use my t-mobile service or access my account page directly to put a card on autopay or check current info on my account at all. Is there anyone from T-Mobile able to assist me or at least reverse one of my two charges from today? Thanks in advance.

T-mobile can push wifi calling ability to unlocked Galaxy S9? (According to Samsung, they can).

Hello!

Samsung technical support is telling me that T-Mobile has the ability to push the wifi calling option onto the unlocked phone. Can someone please confirm? I would like to buy a dual sim version of the phone, unlocked.

Why is my tethering speed so slow?

$

0

My issue is similar to other threads I have seen here. I am a on a grandfathered Simple Choice NA plan with 10 GB of high speed data. I am not close to using all of my data. My data speeds are always around 10 Mbps (or higher) download and 8 Mbps upload directly on my phone. (On the SpeedTest I just ran I got 25.5 download and 8.11 upload.) However, when I USB tether to my laptop (or desktop), data speeds drop to about 0.3 Mbps download and 0.1 Mbps upload.

I have multiple lines with T-Mobile and multiple phones. It happens on all phones and all lines. The issue is not related to my location because data speeds on the phone are adequate. As soon as I USB tether, speeds drop drastically. The issue is not related to tethering to one particular laptop either. I have been having this issue for the last 1.5 years and in that time I have used several different laptops. Prior to 1.5 years ago, tethering speeds were fantastic. My T-Mobile plan has not changed during this time.

My phones include a Galaxy S8 and a Galaxy S8+ (but the problem has happened with prior phones, as I mentioned). My phones are all T-Mobile branded devices. My current laptop is a Lenovo ThinkPad. I do not have to use a 3rd party app on my phone (USB tethering is built in to Android on the S8, S8+) and I do not need a 3rd party app on my laptop. When I turn on USB tethering, I get a proper connection. The issue is that it is very SLOW.

I also tested the mobile HotSpot feature. For about the first 5-10 minutes, I had good speeds while connected with my laptop, but then the speeds dropped to the 0.2 or 0.3 Mbps range and stayed there the rest of the day. That looks like throttling to me...

Over the last 1.5 years I have called T-Mobile support many times regarding this issue. Tickets have been opened. Unfortunately, no solution. Usually the support person is very nice and promises to follow up with me. So far not a single person who has made me that promise has actually followed up.

Multiple T-Mobile support reps have told me that my plan has no throttling of my 10 GB data allotment. I used to be a huge T-Mobile fan. I have had my current account for over 6 years with multiple lines. Before that I was with Verizon for 2 years, but prior to Verizon I was also with T-Mobile a long time. (I was a loyal T-Mobile customer even when their network was not as competitive as it is now.)

Can anyone from T-Mobile solve this for me?

Why can't I switch to $25 plan?

Hi everyone...

I haven't used my phone in almost 5 months and now want to renew my $25 unlimited talk/text plan that I had prior. For some reason, I login today and my plan is $3 pay as you go and I don't see the $25 option (only $45, $50, and $55). How do I get my old plan back??

US Cellular no longer a roaming partner for T-Mobile in Maine?

$

0

For over 10 years, my T-Mobile account functioned fine in Midcoast Maine, roaming on US Cellular, for the last year using Moto G5 Plus. In the last two months, I've experienced intermittent outages of coverage (ex: emergency calls only, or cannot connect to network operator) but these were short, several hours each and then the phone would reconnect again and sometimes I'd get texts in the middle of the night as they finally "come through". The bigger issue is that for the last WEEK, I have no had no service. It's gone completely. No phone calls, no texts, no data, nothing at all. Same on a family plan connected Nokia phone, so it doesn't seem to be a Moto G5 Plus issue. It's as if T-Mobile and US Cellular's roaming agreement just ended. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for me? Thanks in advance.

Lame AF Unlocking Policy

Whoever came up with the bright idea for all the unlocking requirements needs his or her skull thumped straight up! If one fulfills their EIP agreement then that should suffice. What were they smoking when they decided that 40 days shall also be a requirement? The main thing is that once you pay off your device, it's officially the consumers property and the request should be honored without hesitation.

Hotspot data consumption

$

Something very strange is going on with the mobile hotspot network that I use to connect my laptop to the 'net.

My phone claims that, over the past week, my mobile hotspot network used well over 5 GB of data.

This is despite the fact that:

- I didn't watch any videos (not even a short clip) via mobile hotspot during this time, and didn't stream more than a few minutes of audio

- I have Java turned off for most web pages on my browser

- The SSID of my mobile hotspot network is private and PW protected, so others can't easily siphon my data

Pretty much all I did using my mobile hotspot during this time was text-based (occasionally image-based) web research.

Am I missing something, or is it fair to conclude that there's some type of bug (or other flaw) in the ”meter” that's counting up my data usage?

Thanks

donAs the title says, I can not setup my voicemail. It prompts me to hit pound and enter in my number or to enter in a ten digit number to send a message. When I enter in my own number to get started, it says that my number is invalid. I just signed on with T Mobile last month and this phone is new. I just want to get my voicemail setup and done with.

Nexus 7 keeps rebooting in Canada

I have a Nexus 7 (2013) 2nd generation tablet with T-mobile One plan. Since our place is near Canada, we often go there for shopping, etc. As soon as we cross the border my Nexus 7 keeps rebooting every 5-10 minutes. It's supposed to be able to use data in Canada, but in order to use the internet there, I have to remove the sim card and connect public wifi. As long as the sim card is in it, even with the airplane mode, it keeps rebooting. I went to a T-mobile shop, and they gave me a brand new sim card to try, but it didn't work either. There is of course no problem when I'm in the US. I'd appreciate any help.
