Wipe cache partition: T-Mobile REVVL

Learn how to wipe the T-Mobile REVVL using the hardware keys. If the device is not working correctly, you may need to master reset it and also clear the cache partition. These two resets clear different parts of the device storage. Unlike a master reset, wiping the cache partition does not delete your personal data.

 

 

Wipe cache partition

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Volume up button, then press and hold the Power button at the same time until the phone turns on.
  3. When the device powers on, release the Power button but continue to hold the Volume up button until the Recovery screen appears.
  4. Use the Volume up/down button to scroll to 'Wipe cache partition,' then press the Power button to select it.
  5. Use the Power button to select Reboot system now.

LG V30 Oreo broke bluetooth audio

After updating to Oreo via the OTA release, bluetooth audio now skips/stutters constantly.  Before the update it never skipped at all.  Anyone else experiencing this yet?  Hardware/Software info:  LG V30 LG-H932 Rev.1.0 from T-mobile.  Android v 8.0.0, 4.4.78 kernel, h93320h software.   The only bluetooth audio device that I use it with (so the only I've tested with so far) is my vehicles Pioneer AVH-X2600BT head unit.

I am charged more than $16000 for using 1.6GB data with Simple Choice plan for hotspot device in Canada

I signed on the $10 for 2GB T-mobile simple choice plan before started vacation in Canada. During about 20 days period I used about 1.6GB data flow. Now I received a bill with amount more $16000. I called the T-Mobile support and was told that it was roaming charging, and it is legit charge.

I told multiple custom reps that I signed on their SIMPLE CHOICE plan, it covers north American include Mexican and Canada, but custom rep insist it is legit charge and there nothing they can do.

I asked to speak with manager during the last call, the customer rep put me on hold for a while and came back saying that they will escalate this case to Custom Complaining department, or something like. But it will took 9 days before they will call me back.

Did anyone experienced this kind of charge?

A year or so ago, T-mobile provided me with a TM-AC1900 ROUTER ... (ASUS rebranded to T-Mobile).  They also provided a Personal Cell Spot 4G LTE which I refer to as an Extender or perhaps Booster.

 

Started having trouble with the router.  Called T-mobile and was told I can exchange it for (even) an updated ROUTER at my local store.  Went to store with old one and exchanged it for a 'newer' one.  Got it home after closing time and discovered it was a (updated) Extender.  At that point, I am ROUTERless.  The store is now closed for the night.

 

Called T-mobile.  Explained the situation and was told the right device would be shipped promptly to the house.  Got a confirming email ... indicated what was coming was ANOTHER Extender.  Called TMO again.  The shipment was cancelled and 'the right device' would ship out promptly.  Next confirming email ... ANOTHER Extender.

 

I even emailed the President of T-Mobile.  I am not lying.  By the time his assistant contacted me, I had yet ANOTHER device (PROMISING IT WAS THE RIGHT THING) en route.  His assistant asked if everything was OK now ... I told her 'Presumably .. yes .. but I was not sure exactly WHAT was coming".  She said she would check with me NEXT THURSDAY (from today ... FRIDAY).  I then got ANOTHER confirming email .... an EXTENDER is on the way ... AGAIN.

 

I grabbed the box the original (and only) ROUTER first came in.  I grabbed the box the NEW EXTENDER came in and headed for the store.  After a LONG explanation, they started researching.  Here is what I was just told an hour or so ago:

 

The ROUTER is discontinued by T-mobile.  They no longer provide one.  If one has one, it will stop working correctly.  They are expected to procure their OWN router.  FIRST I EVER HEARD of this.

 

The EXTENDER is still provided but there is an updated one that I needed ... so I can keep the NEW EXTENDER .. BUT NEED TO RETURN THE OLD ONE.

 

Sooo, I asked the store MANAGER what new router do I need (to work with the new Extender)?.  She did not have a firm answer.  Soooo, I ordered one on Amazon  .. another Asus AC1900 which, I believe is NOT rebranded and is a updated router from the old one, and should work fine with the new Extender.  The manager at the T-mobile store agreed with me.

 

Does anyone KNOW for certain this NEW router will work with the new extender.  I am worried for some stupid reason it won't.

 

Strange to me that I was never notified of this T-mobile change in the first place.  NO one at T-Mobile phone-in knew of this (a router provision being discontinued).  The only person who seemed to be informed of what the problem is/was is a VERY YOUNG waif of a girl at the T-mobile store who knows more than I do about routers etc.  I swear she did not look over 14 .. but seemed to know what she was talking about.  Not even the President's assistant ever mentioned any of this.  I will let her know on Thursday.

 

A T-MOBILE provided ROUTER is not even in their inventory anymore.

4G LTE CellSpot V.2 Not functioning

Hi ,

My CellSpot v.2 power and internet lights keep blinking and not getting any cell signals from tmobile server at all.

The power light in green then the internet in amber. Base on the Quick Star Guide"s common troubleshooting procedures that those two lights flashing in green and amber respectively are indication of my cellspot device unable to reach t-mobile network, port UDP500, UDP4500 and UDP123 needed .

I called my internet provider Spectrum and Belkin WIFII Router to open all 3 ports UDP500, UDP4500 and UDP123 .

But still not working.  I also called T-mobile tech support but no help.

Any suggestion?

im on One Plus International but get zero data since ive arrived in Montreal (Canada). T mobile support has been useless - they suggested I reset network settings, which didn’t work, and then just say that they can’t help because there are no t mobile masts in Canada!

I have the 3$/mo pay-as-you-go plan which I use when visiting the US.  For internet access, I buy a weekly data pass through the 611 customer service number.  Since the internet access is mainly for work, the firm would normally reimburse this cost, but the trolls in accounting need a receipt showing what was purchased and the amount paid.  There seems to be no way to generate an invoice or a charges/payments history for the pay-as-you-go plan through the website.  Am I missing something, or can a receipt be obtained some other way?  TIA.

Good morning,

 

Is there any update to the LG-V20 Oreo rollout timeline? As you know LG recently released Oreo for the unlocked (Korean) versions so the image is complete on the manufacturers side.

Cant add back my monthly data plan to my existing pre-paid account. Frustrated with horrible customer service.

I recently noticed that I stopped being charged for my monthly data plan on my iPad Pro. I went to "manage my account" on my iPad to try and add it back again and all I get is an error saying it cannot be processed at that time. Also, when I try logging into my account on a computer or web browser I get an error message saying this account type does not allow login. So I have no way of trying to add data that way. Has anyone else had this issue and what did you do? I keep trying to call but I get transferred to the pre-paid line who never answer after hours of being on hold. Horrible customer service if I can reach someone on the normal line in minutes but can't actually be helped.

How can I get customer service?

4G LTE CellSpot: Questions About Data Usage and Neighbors

Had a few questions about the new 4G LTE CellSpot and how data usage is calculated by T-Mobile.

 

1. If I'm connected to my own CellSpot, and I make a phone call, is that phone call considered "data"?  I have unlimited calling, so I'm hoping the call would be processed as a normal phone call, and not as data usage.  I read somewhere that a 1 hour phone call on the CellSpot used up 1GB of "data", but it was in a youtube comment, so hopefully it was just someone talking nonesense.  Link to the youtube video (scroll down to the comment by "Naresh Guragai", which says "4G LTE Cellspot consume around 1GB of data every one hour on active calls from your/our internet service provider(ISP). 2. If my neighbors connect to my CellSpot (unbeknownst to me) and stream Netflix, will MY data plan be affected or will theirs?

Why am I being forced to change my password?

I have a T Mobile account but when I try to log in I am being redirected to a page asking me to reset my password because it is "old," and there seems to be no way to escape that page.Is this something that normally exists on this website or am I being hacked? I never saw something like this before on the internet except from hackers.

Cellspot incompatible with Spectrum (Charter, Brighthouse, TW)

After two years my cellspot would not sync. I returned it and was sent another V.1 although I requested a V.2. I spoke with a tech advisor at T-Mobile last night and he confirmed that Spectrum Cable and similar companies have been doing digital upgrades across the country rendering existing Cellspots incompatible. I was told that they are awaiting parameters from the Spectrum so that the cellspots can work again.

FYI:

The Tech advisor said it was possible that it would sync after a few days if I left it on and didn't reset anything on the modem, router or cellspot.

Anyone else having this problem ?

When returning a cellspot, the instructions indicate you can send it back via a UPS shipping label or to a T-Mobile store. The latter was not possible as this was tried yesterday. Apparently they cannot input a device that did not come from their store since they did not have a code for the main warehouse and could not get one from customer service.

iPhone BOGO trade-in issue with order

I placed my order over the phone for 2 iPhones about 2 weeks ago. I mentioned the iPhone promo when ordering, but for some reason the trade-in was not arranged at the time of the order. Ive been trying to arrange trade in, i keep getting transferred between departments, the sales department says the care team should have no issues adding it to the order, the care department says they cant do it. The chat reps in the app say no problem, but a care rep needs to do it. I asked to be transfered to a supervisor since i've been on the phone for like 2 hours now, and he transferred me to retentions. Im not going to give up. Any advice?

Promotion Problems and Big Billing Issues

Dear Community:

i was wondering just how many T-Mobile customer have had any issues with being told they no longer qualified for any particular promotion despite having been using said promotion for any significant period of time without any prior issues!? Reasons for such an inquiry are because this is one of the many problems that I have experienced while being a T-Mobile customer over the last 3-4 years! It would, quite honestly, take me too long to type out everything that has happened every month for going on 2 years and I am, quite frankly, sick to death of repeating myself since that’s exactly what I must do EVERY time I have to call the customer care line to deispute my bill being overcharged for a line that was supposed to be 100% free from a promotional offer in October or November of  either 2015 or 2016, in which essentially ending up being the cause of then being charged double for my already over charged monthly bill amount! The worst part, however, in dealing with all of this each month for 2 years time; was the occasion when I would be connected with certain reps of whom would like to think they know exactly what’s been going on and tell me, very sternly, what’s what and what’s gonna happen next instead of the reps whom act very respectfully and actually pause themselves to listen without seeming like they have a supervisor over their shoulder creating intimidation or threatening stares which filter down to me and make me assume they’re going to help solve the problem but really only put it on the back burner for the next month or better qualified rep to handle instead of admit they don’t know the answer or won’t give me one because that would jeopardize their employment? Basically I just want to know how many of you have been incorrectly billed for any month with T-Mobile for any pronotional offer you accepted at any time? Just upvote if you would rather not explain your issues! Maybe this could give just cause for some upper level attention!?

Why won’t t-mobile unlock my phone?

i paid for my iPhone 7 in full on the day I walked out of your store with it months ago. I requested an unlock days ago and still haven’t received an email about it. I am Deaf and I don’t have access to a relay service at the moment. I’d appreciate some actual support as your store staff locally is unable to communicate efficiently with asl.
