"call cannot be completed as dialed"

$
0
0

I recently ported my number to T Mobile.  Since the port I have a number of contacts that are unable to complete a call to me now.  I can call them and they can send/receive texts from me without any issue at all.  When they attempt to call me they are immediately met with a message stating the call cannot be completed as dialed.  They have tried deleting the contact and just dialing the number which made no difference.  Interestingly its only a small group of people and the rest of my contacts can call me without issue.  The only common denominator they have is that they are with Verizon Wireless.  Crazy part about it is that I have a business cell phone line with Verizon Wireless and I can call thru without any issue.

I have tried putting my sim into another phone, resetting network settings, making sure the numbers weren't some how added to a blocked list and even turned off the spam filter that is included in the One Plus plan - without any resolution.  Customer Support isn't giving me much hope for a resolution as they keep saying "everything looks fine on their end".  Has anyone else had this issue and if so how was it resolved?  I'm assuming it has to be an issue with the porting process since this was never a problem until then.

Thanks in Advance!

Family not receiving texts

Recently (over last 2 months) my wife and I have noticed that our family on verizon is not receiving our group texts from T-Mobile. They are on iPhones, we're on Android phones (2 different models). At first we thought they were just busy, but when we recently asked, they stated they had never received them. Please help?

Cellspot incompatible with Spectrum (Charter, Brighthouse, TW)

$

After two years my cellspot would not sync. I returned it and was sent another V.1 although I requested a V.2. I spoke with a tech advisor at T-Mobile last night and he confirmed that Spectrum Cable and similar companies have been doing digital upgrades across the country rendering existing Cellspots incompatible. I was told that they are awaiting parameters from the Spectrum so that the cellspots can work again.

FYI:

The Tech advisor said it was possible that it would sync after a few days if I left it on and didn't reset anything on the modem, router or cellspot.

Anyone else having this problem ?

When returning a cellspot, the instructions indicate you can send it back via a UPS shipping label or to a T-Mobile store. The latter was not possible as this was tried yesterday. Apparently they cannot input a device that did not come from their store since they did not have a code for the main warehouse and could not get one from customer service.

Re: Why do the No Credit Check plans not allow Autopay?

$

Let me join in and say that this is absolutely ridiculous and will probably push me over to AT&T sooner rather than later. I signed my daughter and I up for service on two phones we already had, so T-Mobile isn't extending us any credit whatsoever. My credit is frozen with all three agencies because 1) Duh and 2) Home Depot, Equifax, etc. etc. and it's just too much of a pain to go through getting a temporary unlock PIN just for this nonsense.

@T-Mobile, stop treating those of us that want to pay as we go and/or have frozen our credit reports like second-class citizens, especially if you're not LENDING anything to us! Quite frankly, if an intelligent store employee hadn't thought of the pre-paid plans, I'd be on AT&T already because there was no way I was going to unlock credit reporting for this.

No other vendor I work with requires a credit check simply to set up autopay. That's my own line of credit I'd be putting in there to pay you, my credit card. I suspect you're just data-mining your customers for information you don't have a right to possess.

Finally, also on the subject of privacy: I run our broadband through a VPN so that Comcast nor anyone else can snoop on our traffic. T-Mobile won't let me log into my account from any computer that's running through that VPN. That VPN is for my privacy, T-Mobile, and your ham-fisted use of grey/blacklists (lots of bad actors do so from behind VPNs too) is not appreciated. That's a second black mark. Don't make me go back to the Deathstar.

Business account suspensions

$

0

Depending on your situation, your account can be placed into a partial or full suspension.

Are you looking to suspend (or restore) just one line on your account? Find out how if you have 21 or more lines on your account. If you have less than 21 lines, simply contact us for assistance.

To suspend your business line or account due to a lost or stolen device, check out Suspend your business line due to a lost or stolen device.

Things to know

  • If your service was recently suspended, you'll see prorated monthly charges, overages, one-time charges, taxes, etc.
  • When service is restored, you're billed the prorated monthly charges for the time your service was active within that bill cycle on the bill after being restored.

Military suspension

A military suspension doesn't extend your annual service contract term (if applicable). There are no monthly charges, taxes, or suspend fees while your line is under a military suspension. See how to suspend your line if you're about to enter active military service. You may suspend your line for a maximum of 39 months if you're being deployed and are a member of the:

  • US Army
  • US Navy
  • US Marine Corps
  • US Air Force
  • US Coast Guard
  • Merchant Marine
  • Officers of the Public Health Service on duty with the Army or the Navy

Things to consider if you request a military suspension for a line on your account:

  • Keep account current: During a military suspension, your account must remain current. This means you or an authorized user need to make monthly payments by the due date. If the account is suspended for non-payment, it won't be restored to a military suspension once the balance is paid. You would need to restore the line. Other subscribers on the account are charged the normal monthly plan fee.
  • Monthly recurring charges: While on a military suspend, there are no monthly recurring charges, taxes, or suspend fees; however, if any features or plans share monthly recurring charges between a suspended line and an active line, you'll see normal monthly recurring charges. Any recurring charges will still need to be paid each month by the due date.
  • Equipment Installment Plan (EIP): If you have an EIP, monthly installment amounts continue to be charged and must be paid each month by the due date during a military suspension, regardless of whether your monthly recurring charges are suspended.
  • Making monthly payments: To keep the account current, there are several ways for you or an authorized user to pay your T-Mobile bill.

Seasonal suspension

You may voluntarily suspend your account twice per year for a maximum period of 90 consecutive days for each suspension. During a seasonal suspension, the account must remain current. You can suspend individual lines of an account, while other lines remain active. If you previously suspended your line within the last 12 months as a Seasonal Suspend, the option/button to suspend the line on My T-Mobile (for accounts with 21 or more lines only) will not be displayed until the end of the 12-month period. After the 90-day suspend period, accounts are automatically restored.

Individual rate plan seasonal suspension fees

In addition to the restrictions above, the following also applies for individual rate plans:

  • For accounts with only one line on an individual rate plan, a suspended line is billed $10 per bill cycle.
  • If an account has multiple individual-line rate plans, the account is billed $10 for each suspended individual-line rate plan, and the full monthly charge for any active individual lines.

For example: Say you have an account with three lines on the individual Simple Choice rate plan. You decide to temporarily suspend two of those lines. The two suspended lines are billed $10 per month, while the third non-suspended line is billed to the account for the full monthly charges, including any data and other features.

Multiline rate plan seasonal suspension fees

In addition to the restrictions above, the following also applies for multiline rate plans:

  • When all lines on a multiline rate plan are suspended, accounts are billed $10 per bill cycle for the entire account (not each suspended line). For example, if you suspend all lines on a four-line account, you are charged $10 per bill cycle.
  • When one or more lines on a multiline plan remain active, accounts are billed the plan's full monthly charge, including any data or additional features.

Non-payment suspensions

Anytime your account is past due, your service may be partially suspended. If the balance on your account remains unpaid, a full suspension may occur. A $20 account restoration fee will be charged per line plus taxes, billed to your account at time of restoration, if your account is partially or fully suspended.

Partial suspension for non-paymentFull suspension for non-payment
  • You'll keep your number and receive calls, but can't make outbound calls, except for calls to 611 and 911.
  • You'll receive incoming text messages, but can't use outgoing messaging (SMS), voicemail and data services.
  • You'll continue to keep your monthly plan, and you'll be charged for your monthly rate plan and access fees.
  • If you have it on your line, you are charged for insurance (equipment protection or Device Protection).**
  • You'll keep your number, but incoming and outgoing calls are suspended.*
  • Text messaging, voicemail and data services are suspended.
  • You'll keep your monthly plan, but monthly fees are prorated.
  • Insurance is not prorated.

Huawei P9+ Not Receiving Certain Calls

$

Hi,

This just started happening perhaps around a month ago, or I have started noticing this around a month ago but I've been unable to receive certain phone calls. People would try to call me and they just say the call isn't going through and I don't even get a notification that they tried calling and they aren't sent to voicemail either.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to what the problem could be?

I'm currently living in the San Francisco Bay Area if that information is useful.

Thanks,

Franklin

Any one else getting "Configuration Notification" messages?

I keep receiving sms messages from short code number with the following text:
Configuration Notification. Your MMS Service Settings have arrived. Open the configuration message and save the settings.
the messages never contain settings  or an attachment which I would not have trusted anyways

I have received them from the following short codes: 909, 5129, 5126, 5128, 5127. I'm using a one plus 3t and I have verified I am using the correct messaging settings as per https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-2090

T-mobile can push wifi calling ability to unlocked Galaxy S9? (According to Samsung, they can).

Hello!

Samsung technical support is telling me that T-Mobile has the ability to push the wifi calling option onto the unlocked phone. Can someone please confirm? I would like to buy a dual sim version of the phone, unlocked.

Switched S9 from Verizon to T-Mobile - Phone won't rebrand

$

BYOD from Verizon to T-Mobile.  I brought my S9 and my wife brought her S8+.  Lot long after the port-in process was complete, my wife's S8+ downloaded the T-Mobile app and the look/location of the status bar icons changed to the T-Mobile 'motif'; my phone hasn't changed at all.  When I go to update software, it was telling me my device was not authorized, but now it says the device is up to date.  However, the Verizon apps are still there and won't uninstall and the Service provider SW ver. is: SAOMC-SM-G960U_OYN_VZW_OO_0077 (notice the VZW) and the last line in that section reads: VZW/VZW/VZW.  My wife's phone has a last line of TMB/TMB/VZW (notice the TMB).

Called T-Mobile and got completely clueless reps that claim "once it's a Verizon phone, it's always a Verizon phone!"  Really?, then explain my wife's phone that I purchased from the same Verizon store a few months earlier.

The Samsung website says that once a new SIM is installed that the old provider software would be uninstalled and the new provider's software would be installed as long as it is an unlocked phone (mine is because I have T-Mobile service and if it's locked it would be SIM locked to Verizon and my service with T-Mobile wouldn't work).  Samsung's website even has a by-carrier list of the apps that are forced on you for your type of device.  So, I call Samsung.  They try everything they can: they assure me that my phone can be rebranded (duh, my wife's already is), they tell me to install SmartSwitch on my computer but it doesn't give me the option to update (even after a full phone backup), then he tells me to wait for the next firmware update and keep my fingers crossed.  Since when was "pray" added to the tech support flow charts?

It appears that those who get paid to help have no clue how, so now I'm turning to this community for assistance.  Any ideas on what else I can try?

MMS "New multimedia message. Receive?"

$

All MMS I receive show the message "New multimedia message. Receive?" followed by a Download button. But tapping Download doesn't do anything.

I recently switched from AT&T to T-Mobile and this has been happening since the switch.

I'm using a factory unlocked LG G6 (I did not buy it from AT&T) and the standard Messaging app in Android. The phone is running Android 8.

Any ideas how to fix?

Thanks.

Cant add back my monthly data plan to my existing pre-paid account. Frustrated with horrible customer service.

I recently noticed that I stopped being charged for my monthly data plan on my iPad Pro. I went to "manage my account" on my iPad to try and add it back again and all I get is an error saying it cannot be processed at that time. Also, when I try logging into my account on a computer or web browser I get an error message saying this account type does not allow login. So I have no way of trying to add data that way. Has anyone else had this issue and what did you do? I keep trying to call but I get transferred to the pre-paid line who never answer after hours of being on hold. Horrible customer service if I can reach someone on the normal line in minutes but can't actually be helped.
